Cavs vs. Mavs -- Friday, Oct. 17, 7:30pm (STO and NBA TV)

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
I find it odd that Haywood didn't play tonight.

This game is meaningless really. Our D was awful no doubt for pretty much the entire game outside of the 2nd quarter and parts of the 4th quarter, but Dallas played a regular season rotation and Lebron was half-assing it so bad out there it was borderline ridiculous. Love the guy and it's preseason but let's be honest he was coasting big time.

I did really like how Tristan played - would be nice to see him get some more weak side blocks against all the dribble penetration but he really showed some nice things out there on the glass and on offense.

I also thought Kirk did a nice job in his limited minutes. He may not be a total stiff after all, seems like his confidence is on the rise.

No, he really doesn't. Delly can actually run a team offense, and not to mention he has a guaranteed contract. He's staying on the roster.
That's not what I meant. Delly makes this team regardless. I hope Price makes it as I like his game as well. Delly provides passing while Price has some dog in him. He'd be nice to throw in sometimes in favor of Delly

That zone defense had the offense completely confused. Usually teams just start to shoot their way out of the zone but Cleveland just couldn't get a rhythm going. 20 turnovers and a lot looked just bad. I can handle turnovers in the heat of the battle, if guys are trying but a lot of those were just stupid turnovers. This team wasn't going to go undefeated but I bet the Mavericks play zone in the regular season against this team and they need to figure that out. Just shoot your way out of it and do it before the defense can set, I know the Cavaliers have the shooters to do that.

Eh... Sure it wasn't a great game but it was a good lesson. Now Blatt knows he has done coaching to do about attacking a zone.

It's clear LBJ is a vet and is not going to risk his body or exert himself in the pre season. DW has been a horse this preseason, shot was off last night maybe due to fatigue. He is the only guy who hasn't been given a day off.

I think we managed the last week well. Flying to and from Brazil and then 3 in 4 nights is a lot.

I like what I have seen from TT so far. It's clear we still need a big though.

Ironic on defense, the Cavs got exposed with Dirk playing the Kevin Love role. Spaced the floor so well that just one dribble and their guards had clear paths to the lane. Like what I saw from Tristan on offense but defense we got to to do better

Luckily for the Cavs a team did this to us in the pre season. God help the next team that attempts this against us tho lol

Thnx Dallas for tipping your hat so quickly,

No biggie, but I believe the term is tipping your hand, not hat.:chuckle:

What happened?

Having Kevin Love would have helped in this game enormously. And Marion. And LeBron too considering he barely tried.

I find it odd that Haywood didn't play tonight.

Why? He is coming off a few injuries the last couple seasons. No reason to extend vets in the pre-season.

Keep everyone healthy and worry about minutes come the 30th.
