Delly did nothing for me. I think they would have won if Waiters had played out. No Rose limited what Chicago could do and it showed.
I thought Chicago really stepped up without Rose But you are right Dion does need to step up and be the explosive goto guy.

That was unacceptable, but LeBron and Kyrie both turning the ball over in back to back plays in crunch time; all while failing to get back on defense was?

Everyone needs to be held accountable.

I don't remember either of them pouting to the ref while their guy was running a fast break tonight. Perhaps I'm wrong.

What I will say is that Dion was killing the team with his horrible shooting, and his lack of hustle was hurting them too. Outside of hitting an occasional shot, he wasn't doing anything to help the team, unlike both LeBron and Kyrie.

This isn't a witch hunt. This is a learning lesson for Dion. You cannot hurt the team like that. Other wise, you will be replaced.

is that why Blatt ended up putting Waiters on Rose?
He was hurting the team on the court. he was 3-10 and playing within the offense.

the ref altercation is the sole reason Dion was pulled. Kyrie wasnt shooting much better, neither was Love for that matter.

Dion's numbers are going to be ugly until there is ball movement in the offense. At least he is capable of contributing in that environment, you look at Mike Miller who can't even get off a shot right now in our one-pass-or-less offense.

As far as being pulled, it had to be his mouth that got him in trouble in some way, because he defended pretty well tonight and offered a lot more than Delly offensively.

hold on a second...you guys don't see why Dion got pulled? Watch the whole game and pay attention to him when he doesn't have the ball and you'll see why he got pulled. To many times I watched him stand in one spot the whole 24 seconds. He needs to learn how to move without the ball. Delly took his spot because he knows how to move without the ball, but he also needs to shoot those open 3's instead of passing the ball so much. Oh and Dion also got lost on a few times on defense too so i'm sure that also didn't help.

There was also a key point after he didn't dive for the loose ball thAT Hinrich snagged - He missed a shot thought he was fouled and started complaining to the ref. It showed blatt yell 4 (four) times in a row for Dion to get back and he didn't.

Dion is now working on this third coach, I really hope the same issues don't come up all 3 times. Lets see how the next games play out but he could be the volatile one. Dion wants to be a star, as a starter there are not going to be shots for him. At least not the shots he wants.

He has said all of the right things to this point, and this is not a knock on Dion I have defended him in the past - but, Van Gundy could be on to something about the cavs being better with a typical 3 and D type starting SG. We have so many weapons it almost become redundant.

Conspiracy theory:

Ray Allen isn't going to sign with us unless...

Dion ends up being a pain in the ass, and we trade him for a center.

Getting yanked in the fourth and not seeing a minute on the floor again isn't a good sign. It's happened now with three straight coaches. I'll just leave it at that.
Pau gasol wouldnt of seen another minute if it hadnt been for noah fouling out.

Its a good sign that the first time it happened Blatt took care of it. blow up.. dont play.. pretty simple.

Whats absurd is that he has had 3 different coaches in three seasons on the same team.

I know we just started, but I think it is going to be hard for Dion to find his role on this team, or at least be willing to accept it if it isn't what he expected. I initially thought Dion would have way more value on this team than Tristan, but I think it is the other way around. It also helps that Delly is helping alot with handling the ball, and LeBron controls it a lot. And we are so deep that Mike Miller is barely getting minutes. Dion might be our biggest trade asset for the future.

Another factor is that our offense looks like crap right now and we aren't moving it and sharing it like I envisioned. Once we get a flow on offense, I expect Dion to look much better. But we have so many offensive weapons that it is hard to get shots to go around the way it is.

The fact that he's in his 3rd year and still hasn't managed to knock this stuff off is absurd.

Its odd to me that as much as people downplay Dions talent and talk about his fit. he seems to be held to a higher expectation of performance than any of the three superstars on this team.

Let's get a bigger sample size before we clog the board with annoying Dion trade scenarios.

Welcome to professional sports, and most professions in general. Those who are better can get away with more. It's always been that way. The lesser players are on a shorter leash because when they do stuff that hurts the team they aren't as talented as the better players to make up for it. So either Dion figures that out or he's really going to struggle in this league.

We're two games in. Last night w the hoopla(and Dion played fine) and tonight against a tough team. It's going to take everybody on this team and staff 20+ games to find the pulse of how this team can play best and what that means for each player.

Lets try to not bring too much of previous years baggage into this just two games in. The game was close, looking for our first win, against a legit defense. Blatt probably wanted to simplify things in the final 4-5 minutes by having one less guy on the floor who looks for his shot when he has the ball in his hands. We really need to see the trends develop over a much longer period of time(including the games against young weak teams that we will feast on) before making too many conclusions about what's working and who's fitting. I'm worried about Dions fit right now as much as I'm worried about Marion and Millers fit, which is not much.
