2014 Cleveland Browns

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
You mean the toxic situation that he helped create? Nobody is better at throwing his teammates under the bus than RGIII.

The owner needs to know how to run his org. RG3 is still a young kid when they blow their load for him. He might be exacerbating it, but Snyder should not have allowed himself to get so involved with one player, especially when he's proven nothing. In my opinion, anyways.

Oh, that franchise is and always has been fiscally irresponsible. They consistently fall in love in Free Agency and nail their own coffin shut every offseason leveraging both cap room and draft picks. It's one of the premiere disaster franchises in the NFL.

That said, Griffin is still a grade A prick.

I hate his personality with a passion, but I think being in a city like Cleveland could bring him down to earth.

I wouldn't give up much for him though.

And clearly, that's an organizational philosophy.

I can't believe I'm actually saying this, but the atmosphere of the Browns would seemingly be a welcome change from that of Washington.

He was OPOY in 2012 under Shanahan. This season, he's actually been pressured on more dropbacks than times where he's had a clear pocket.

That is a staggering, unwinnable number.

No, right now he is not the same player in terms of mobility. That is a process coming back from knee and ankle injuries.

As he becomes healthier, that adds to his prowess as a player. He's built for Shanahan's scheme, absolutely perfect for it. Good under play action, can win without play action, can get out and run when he's healthy.

At two years and a reasonable contract, getting him into Shanahan's system could pay huge dividends.

What would you give up for him?

Manziel, preferably.

A second or third this season and a conditional pick in 2016, more likely.

You say "when healthy" as if it's a foregone conclusion. Personally, I lack confidence that the explosive RGIII we once saw will return to rookie form. His knees are ticking time bombs (a la Derrick Rose) and his ankle injury is something that may plague him for years to come.

His lateral movement may never be the same again. This isn't track star Griffin anymore, unfortunately.

He has a fragile body and he plays timid as such.

Everybody's knees are ticking time bombs, and forgive me if I don't trust your medical opinion on an ankle injury he's already returned from.

I don't want track star Griffin, I want him to be coached and return to form throwing the football that he showed in 2012.

At the cost of what? A third round pick?

I'll take that every day.

I'd absolutely take a chance on RGIII, especially since he's a total "buy low" guy right now. You could probably get him for a third-round pick (maybe even a fourth), and when you can get a potential franchise QB for that price, you have to go for it. Even if he flames out, you can at least say you took the chance to nab a game-changer. He's already had success in Shanahan's system, too.

I honestly am not sure I'd be this enthused if he were going ANYWHERE other than Cleveland, where he'd have the opportunity to work with Kyle Shanahan.

Given the Browns uncertainty at the QB position, you'd be crazy not to have that discussion.

No way in shit I would give up a 2nd this year for him...Manziel is a social hemorrhoid but we don't even know what he is capable of yet. Why trade away him AND a high pick this year AND a pick the year after for a guy that has knees like my grandpa.

I can see it now, he comes in next year, does one of our classic play action roll outs, runs for that extra yard and gets blown up.

If Shanahan really thinks he can mold RG3 into a pocket passer and use legs as last resort, shuffle in the pocket, then okay, try and buy low. But throwing a lot at him right now just seems to be a rush.

Yeah, that's not what I said.

Calm yourself.

It's not my medical opinion, it's the opinion of several medical experts of which I've stumbled across.

Implication? Early onset arthritis. Have fun with that.

That said, I'm not saying I wouldn't take a risk. A low risk. I'm talking middle round pick(s).

Given the fact he's now no longer playing, I'd imagine that risk is somewhat marginalized.

But since we agree on middle round picks, I'll leave it at that.
