Johnny Manziel: Swan Won't Return His Calls

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Oof. This thread is gonna be quite the sight over the next week.

My favorite part, of course, was the TD run. Why? Because I have been asking for a Manziel redzone package all fucking season because of the threat he provides with his legs.

His first touch in the redzone? 15 yard TD run.

I was not a Manziel fan, but there is no way you put Hoyer out there again next week right? Hearing them talk about it during the game they made it seem like it was a really tough decision.

The only way you go back to Hoyer is a scenario where you hope the benching woke him up enough to make him focus better.

The good part about not naming a starter is that the defensive game plan is so different for this team from one guy to the next.

Even if Hoyer starts next week (which I honestly would not have any issue with), there absolutely has to be a Manziel redzone package. The settling for FGs has to stop. Manziel clearly brings more to the table than Hoyer in the redzone, bottom line.

I'd like to see Johnny start though. Either way, based on his performance today and Hoyer's peformance the last few weeks, we definitely have not seen the last of Johnny Football. If Hoyer starts he will likely be on a short leash, as he should be.

Start Johnny, let's see what the little tyke can do. I will say this, he has the biggest bullseye on his back in the history of NFL rookies. Everyone wants to be the guy that clocks the cocky QB. I'll be rooting as hard as I can for him and pray he takes us to the postseason and multiple championships. But, I just have no faith in running QBs. My gut says he will get his knee nuked just like I predicted with RG3.

Good luck Johnny Bullseye!!!

Hoyer is done. He has been trending backwards for a couple months. His last grasps were no turnovers and still being in playoff contention. The 5 picks and the offense being shut down today were the last draws.

We aren't making the playoffs with a game manager at the helm with all these injuries. If we had a healthy defense and o-line, maybe, but that's out the window now.

It's time for Manziel. Hoyer has proved he is not the answer. I'd like to get a read on Johnny in the last month. If he totally flops, better to know that now before the draft.

He looked good, whatever that means in the grand scheme of things. Fit the ball into tight windows, made plays with his legs, and now the play action roll out actually means something! Hooray!

I also think it's a good idea to get his first start against the Colts. They are horrific defensively and Johnny could gain a lot of confidence against a bad defensive team.

Chuck Booms has probably been fapping it since the switch was made.

I needed Manziel out there today...Hoyer was killing me with his dumb decisions...I fully expect Manziel to make some too but his running ability and his strong arm add a dimension to the offense that will make significant dividends

Funny how the anti-apologists are suddenly the new apologists...

Not true, I put the blame on johnny. We also need to recognize that the sample size of johnny is way too small to know what we have in him.
