It isn't really fair to expect Cardale Jones to lead this team to an upset over Alabama IMO. It will only be his second start. It takes experience to learn how to read defenses and decide when to hand off/keep the ball, etc. Alabama is well tested in environments like this under Saban and I'm sure he'll disguise coverages, bring blitzes from may different angles, etc that will make it difficult on an inexperienced QB.

This is a big game for Ohio State's reputation. It is one thing if they get beat in a competitive game that Bama has to fight tooth and nail to win. But, if they get rolled by about 3 TD's, it will only reinforce the idea that they play a soft schedule and beat up on cupcakes all year long.

See I have no idea what to expect from Jones. The offense was certainly simplified a tad for him but that is mainly because he a week to prepare. I think our best option is to do exactly what we did against Wisconsin and do not ask him to do too much. Our running game is going to be absolutely critical to have a chance to win.
 
Ohio State offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach Tom Herman was named the winner of the Broyles Award on Tuesday, after the Buckeyes made the College Football Playoff despite losing two starting quarterbacks to season-ending injuries.

The Buckeyes went 12-1 this season, averaged more than 45 points per game and beat Wisconsin 59-0 in the Big Ten championship game despite using their third starter of the year.

I really hope we can keep him but I think he'll be a head coach here before long.

He's headed to Oregon State.

From a football standpoint, Wisconsin is the better choice by a long-shot.

There are obviously some personal issues going on here. Whether it just be wanting to go back to a place closer to home or issues with the program etc.

Nebraska, Wisconsin, and Michigan all looking for/replacing coaches in the same offseason. Pretty crazy.
 
After watching some tape on Winston, is it just me or does he have a seriously long wind up/release?
