Sparty playing Baylor in the Cotton Bowl.

Should be interesting.

Georgia Tech and Mississippi State play in the Orange Bowl. Should be an interesting one too.

Something to keep in mind when saying the playoff field should be expanded:

Nevermind...

Things are changing too much.

Curious. Is Dontre supposed to be back for this game? Have to think he'll be all healed up 3 and a half weeks from now. Would add a nice wrinkle to the offense.

I'm very interested in general how the whole offense will look with time to prepare. Likewise I'm very interested to see Bamas plan, I'd guess stuff the run and make jones beat us? Although that plays Into their weak secondary

Biggest improvement Cardale can make is decision in the option plays. Making the defense account for the QB as a runner is one of the things that makes the spread so hard to defend. Jones doesn't have the quick of Barrett or Brax, but he can run through a tackle.

The Big 12 commissioner already mentioned expansion today with an interview with ESPN.

Should be interesting.

Have to think Cincy would be a target to help bridge the gap with West Virginia.

These expansion/re-alignment things often can create some domino effects, so it will be an interesting story to follow.

As long as Dontre holds onto the ball...

People around here in fort worth (tcu and my office is in downtown) are devastated.

That was my one criticism of him as well from that game. He wasn't making good decisions on whether to hand it off or keep it himself.

CMU's reaction when they were going to the Bahama's for a bowl game was priceless lol.

It isn't really fair to expect Cardale Jones to lead this team to an upset over Alabama IMO. It will only be his second start. It takes experience to learn how to read defenses and decide when to hand off/keep the ball, etc. Alabama is well tested in environments like this under Saban and I'm sure he'll disguise coverages, bring blitzes from may different angles, etc that will make it difficult on an inexperienced QB.

This is a big game for Ohio State's reputation. It is one thing if they get beat in a competitive game that Bama has to fight tooth and nail to win. But, if they get rolled by about 3 TD's, it will only reinforce the idea that they play a soft schedule and beat up on cupcakes all year long.
