Game 21: Cleveland Cavaliers (13-7) @ Oklahoma City Thunder (8-13) 8:00 P.M. EST

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Love is not the main problem, its Andy. Even with Loves bad defense he's still a 20/15 threat with 3point range. With a legit Center he can be somewhat hidden. But Andy with his cement feet and habit of flopping around instead of finishing plays cant be hidden

Kevin love needs to be more active and involved on offense. He camps out at the 3 line 80% of the time.. This whole offense needs to be run differently IMO.

We have to just trade Waiters and the Memphis pick for a shotblocking center already. Enough's enough.

we came back and battled.. D was still better than I expected as far as points given up.. we missed a lot of shots early and could have just folded but we showed fight... come back win tomorrow night and then win 5 in a row at home.. I'll take 14-1 over a 15 game span.. would have liked to see our fool squad tonight because I think we would have won but on to the next one
The way we shot, I'd say we had our fool squad most of the night

You cant really believe we do not need a defensive center. C'mon now...they owned the lane on both ends of the court and it wasn't just KD. We clearly need one.

Who?

I mean it gets kind of tiresome reading the same complaint about needing this mythical 7 foot shot blocker when there are none available. I see people throw around Biyombo's name, but my god, Biyombo has struggled to get minutes his entire career. I'm not even sure that guy is a legitimate NBA player.

So it just gets old to see the same stuff being posted over and over again with zero solutions offered. You can scream and yell about the need for a shot blocker all you want, but that won't make one suddenly become available.

This team is going to have to find ways to win w/o a defensive center manning the middle. Certainly we've seen teams in the past win titles while not having a shot blocker. It can be done.

Andy is really not playing well, he is having problems finishing in traffic, he is not a good rim protector and he's flopping too much..
On the other hand once we got inside Ibaka was just altering our shot completely, no easy buckets, only when he got out we scored in the paint..

While this is true, a defensive center isn't going to block Kevin Durant's 1 legged fadeaways.
Take a look at tonight's shot chart, and especially Westbrook's.

That's why we won't beat teams from the West in a finals playoff. We need a dominating center.

when exactly did we move away from the zone? looked like it was working, im genuinely interested.

We played like garbage tonight. That being said, there were a handful of realy weird calls against us tonight. But, we deserved to lose regardless.

I don't have TNT, but from the box score it seems like if we had managed to shoot 40% tonight we could have won.

I expected Kevin Love to more offensively dominant - or at least reliable -- than he has been so far.

Don't feel too bad after this one.

1. No James and we led for most of the first half and were tied at halftime.

2. Kyrie didn't have a good game and yet we made a battle of it.

3. Love's defense will never be elite but his offense can be a force if we get him the ball in the right places. He's always drawn fouls at a high rate and we saw that at the end of the game. He should have had 18-20 shots tonight rather than Andy and Marion and Dion putting up all of their shots. I think h could have had a 30 point game ha we run the offense differently.

4. Marion is a space killer. Nobody's guarding him and he still didn't make a three. Wish Miller were available tonight. JJ got four great looks and didn't knock down a single one.

5. Tristan made some defensive mistakes, but he did once again offensive rebound like crazy. At this point inexpect him to come up with loose balls and ORebs.

6. Delly. What the hell else can you say about this guy? His shooting stroke looks a lot better. The energy and defense were there. Made a few bad turnovers but still, +7 today.

7. Defense overall was decent for long stretches. The intensity turned up once down 20 and that was great to see.

8. Durant was crap for most of the game which helped things.

9. Wish we had run more of our offense at the end of the third and and beginning of the fourth before we got down big but it wasn't to be.

10. 10. Really surprised to see Harris and Kyrie's defensive assignments there at the end.

Don't feel too badly about this much like the San Antonio game in which he had outplayed them for long stretches.

They are just an imposing physical team. We can't do shit against them without Lebron. But you add him to today's performance and it is a win on most occasions.
