LeBron James

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Imagine if all this stuff comes together and we get rolling right before the playoffs.

We make a trade (or 2) and bring in a rim protector and a wing defender that can shoot. LeBron, Marion, Love, Irving all healthy and ready to go and we start to roll.

I'm hoping for the best.

So negative. Let's get Love back, Marion and we will be fine. Depending how long he will miss 7-8 games. I think we go .500 atleast.

We have the toughest part of schedule coming up. We could be looking at one or two wins while Bron is out these next two weeks.

This also happens to be the part of the season teams are going to make their playoff push. Not good timing at all.

Yes and it's also the same LeBron who has a mysterious elbow injury that they couldn't find anything wrong with. Only to days come out later say they did find something to support the official LeBron phantom injury.

Again, knowing the history of the team and LeBron, to believe what they are saying at face value is stupid.

to think LeBron's knee and back aren't bothering him is stupid.

I'm sure they are. But I highly doubt they're bad enough that he needs 2 weeks rest. Convenient excuse in the middle of him pouting to get Blatt fired.

I think it's bothering him, no one said they're not. But for me personally, this entire season so far has really been strange. Very strange body language from most all the players, and the coach. I am not one to believe everything I read/hear either. I don't think we get the full story.

This guy has barely missed any games in his entire career. He comes back home, and all of a sudden, he doesn't like the coach and he needs to sit out 2 weeks? I find it funny.

Either way, not good - hope we can squeak out some wins here without him, but with these old vets...not so sure.

LeBron is wearing down from both a series of long consecutive playoff runs and the normal wear and tear of a lot of mileage on an NBA player.

I think this is great news, actually. LeBron needs the rest, and as was mentioned above, this means Love will get more looks and the team gets to play Blatt ball.

I thought we could make a good playoff run this year but not win the title. Everything is to set up the team for the future. If this lets the other guys get some more chemistry without LeBron dominating everything, good. And LeBron needs the rest badly.

Windhorst mentioned on one of his recent radio shows that the first things that typically go with high mileage players are the knees and the back. LeBron isn't finished or anything, but getting him more rest now and periodically moving into the future is a wise move. Better to manage it before things get bad.

Be careful what you wish for people have been on this forum for the past few days since Windhorst story saying that Lebron is sabotaging the team and how much better off we would be if he weren't a part of the team and so on a so on. Well now you have your wish for two weeks. Lets see how it goes. The past two game have been almost unwatchable and Kyrie usage rate is increasing but his productivity and efficiency are decreasing.

It's going to be tough to watch. I think people who view this as a positive might be looking at this differently after it's all said and done. This could make us stronger or wear us down even more.

We shall see.

Back off the ledge.
I'm fine with this, it's a marathon, not a sprint. Let Lebron get his body and head straight. Let's see what we have on our bench, who can contribute and who can't before the trade season gets going. Also, it will give Kyrie and Love some time to jell, maybe it will also let lebron see how his teammates react to Blatt. Maybe this time off gets him to buy in. Or maybe we collapse and he gets his guy and we get his full effort again. Either way I think it will all shake out over the next few weeks. I also think we will get some help in the interior.

The key is peaking at the end of the season. I'm fine with bottoming out now. We play in the East so seeding isn't a huge deal for me.

Please tell me I didn't see people concerned about slipping into the lottery because Lebron James is gonna miss like 8 games. SMH

People are for real concerned about the Jabari-less Bucks, or the George-less Pacers knocking us out of the playoffs? Pretty concerned about the Celtics making a strong push to bury us into the 9th seed?

God this board is really starting to suck.

In case you don't remember, this team almost beat the Hawks on the road with no Andy, Lebron or Marion and half of a gimpy Love. And that is with zero preparation for an offense that doesn't feature Lebron.

These are the situations that David Blatt excels at. Teams that could potentially be outmatched end up overachieving, and the one bad apple in the bunch will be on the bench for a couple weeks.

If we can squeak out 4-4 over the next two weeks I think we will be fine, Jesus. :chuckle:

Rather him just take off a chunk of time and get healthy than miss a game every week or so and the issues last longer than they should. Gives time to figure out what's going to happen with Blatt and who the Cavs can move for a center.

Kyrie "savior" Irving is going to lead the team. He's going to run the offense better than LeBron does. Cavs are better off without LeBron.

I think the health of Love and Marion are going to decide how this stretch goes. The last couple of games have been really tough because we lost both Lebron and Marion. Losing a starter and back up at SF off of a team is really tough.

If Love and Marion are able to play and contribute we should be able to weather the storm and maybe this fixes some of our issues.
