LeBron James

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
We're really going to learn alot about these players in the next 2 weeks.

Are Irving and Love really stars/championship level players or overhyped losers? Its its the former the team should be in decent shape even without Lebron. The latter...ehh.

We're also gonna learn alot about Blatts ability to coach without Lebron for an extended period of time. Does he go back to the fiery no bullshit Blatt from overseas and lead this team through adversity? Or will he look like a deer in the headlights like he has the last week? His job could be riding on this.

Should be interesting/entertaining to say the least

Great post. We are going to find out within the next few weeks, what we have. And if they all cave, big changes will need to be made.

I know this is extremely selfish of me, but if LeBron doesn't play on January 30 after I've flown half way across the world to watch a full-strength Cavs team for the first time in my life, I'm going to be otherworldly devastated.

Where you from?

It depends. Lebron may be overselling the injury waiting for Blatt's dismissal..........then comes back refreshed and ready to make his move.

I could see that and Gilbert pulls what the Kings did with Malone when Cousins was out.

There is a silver lining to all of this.

The obvious is a healthy Lebron, something we haven't had.

But the not so obvious is it gives Blatt a chance to earn Lebron's respect. We are told the other players have bought in. It will be a 7 or 8 game stretch where our coach is not undermined. Gives a chance for the Blatt O to really take hold.

Look, we will make the playoffs in the east if all we did was add Love. The east is that bad, and winning a championship this season is not likely if healthy because of an incomplete roster. This gives the team a chance to build without Lebron for a short term. For a long term, Lebron only has nagging injuries and we should be ready to rock and roll after the all star break.

We will get to see what he is made of. No more excuses for the guy if he continues to suck with Lebron out. (Love)

LeBron being out still doesn't solve a big problem for Love, and that is how Blatt has failed to utilize Love properly. So although I hope Love does well with LeBron out, until Blatt figures out how to put Love in situations to succeed, we still might not see the best of Love yet.

Love is the member of the big three who is being most limited by Blatt's offense or how the offense is run. That still needs to get fixed, with or without LeBron out.

I
I'm fine with him sitting until he is 100%. We aren't going to have a better record than the Western Conference team so will be on the road in the Finals regardless, and I'm not scared of anybody in the East in a playoff series with or without HCA if our big guns are healthy.

I see people saying this a lot but I don't know what it is that you guys have seen this season that would indicate we could beat any of Atlanta, Toronto, Chicago, or Washington in a playoffs series. Although I still do think we get it together in the coming months, right now I don't feel confident against any of those teams.

For a variety of reasons, my 2015 wish is that Mark Jackson experiences an accident that fractures his vocal chords and renders him completely terrified of public situations and chalkboards, and that nothing else bad happens to him.

Whatever. Rest up, get your shit together physically AND mentally, come back and "wreck this league."

Just wanna be as healthy as possible come playoff time, that's all I care about at this point.

LeBron is wearing down from both a series of long consecutive playoff runs and the normal wear and tear of a lot of mileage on an NBA player.

I think this is great news, actually. LeBron needs the rest, and as was mentioned above, this means Love will get more looks and the team gets to play Blatt ball.

I thought we could make a good playoff run this year but not win the title. Everything is to set up the team for the future. If this lets the other guys get some more chemistry without LeBron dominating everything, good. And LeBron needs the rest badly.

Windhorst mentioned on one of his recent radio shows that the first things that typically go with high mileage players are the knees and the back. LeBron isn't finished or anything, but getting him more rest now and periodically moving into the future is a wise move. Better to manage it before things get bad.

Seriously: Why does LBJ have to stop the HGH/testosterone now? Of all times?

I went to the game last night.....and I saw that offense in full effect, it looks great until we shoot 34% and 21% from three. We have no one that can score and no one that shoots consistently. We should cut Amundsen, price, and put Kirk back in canton and bring in some seasoned vets who can score.

I agree. There are some really bad teams in the East, but the conference as a whole has improved leaps and bounds from the last 5 years.

I have no idea why people think that seeding isn't important.

Love and Irving are yet to play in a playoff atmosphere. No telling how they will perform. There is nothing I have seen that makes me comfortably believe we can beat a healthy TOR, Chi, or Wash in a 7 games series. Especially not without hc advantage.

The back court is what scares me the most. Asking Irving and Miller to contain a Beal/Wall, a healthy rose/Butler or a Lowry/Derozan is going to be a nightmare
