So ummm.. I'm looking at this vine of LeBron James literally shoving David Blatt while he was in the middle of a conversation with the refs -- so that LeBron can talk to the refs.

Now before I clicked on it, I thought.. nah.. bullshit..

But watch it.. Honestly; the look on Blatt's face.

Our team is too fucking talented to be this bad. If Blatt can't light a fire under them, he shouldn't be our coach. They all have the skills to play defense. We saw flashes of it in the 4th, even from Kyrie. Someone needs to do an in-depth evaluation of this team and figure out where our bugs are.

the next time love or kyrie play defense let me know, and then ill entertain the idea of blatt no longer being the head coach. instead i am more of a believe each of them should be benched, and lue should be fired
What has Blatt done for the players? I'll give you Irving being a lost cause but Love at least has proven to be a 25+ PPG player in this league

Blatt is so fucking clueless right, how you don't see it is beyond me.

what in holy fuck does he have to work with. the defensive specialist assistant coach has this team as one of the worst in the NBA. why does that not fall on lue?

kevin love and kyrie irving have never played a lick of defense in their lives why is that beyond you?

Jones being on the court was incidental to the game tightening. The only 3 times he was noticeable were when Morris posted him and scored easily, when he was nowhere to be found on a key offensive board for PHX and when he clanged an open 3 in the final minute.

How in the hell are people arguing about putting Love back in the game after his pitiful performance. One of the worst defensive games from a single player I've ever seen, didn't even have the audacity to box out with his lazy ass.

He was pushing him away from a technical foul he was bound to get

I must be in bizarro world. People actually think we had a much better chance to win because James Jones happened to be on the court when JR Smith and Lebron caught fire for a brief stretch? Even if I spot Jones was a huge contributor to that run because of spacing, he was spent by the end of the 4th. Would you really prefer to close out the game with Kyrie/JR/Lebron/Jones/Thompson over Kyrie/JR/Lebron/Love/Mozgov? I would imagine you would be hard pressed to find an NBA coach that agrees with that rotation. Yeah, Love was not having a great game, but he has to be on the floor in a close game. We are not winning many playoff games with the lineup we used to close out this game. If for no other reason, Love needs to be on the floor in the 4th so this team can learn how to close together as a team. The short-term thrill of seeing Blatt be punitive towards Love does nothing to build this team for the future. It only stunts their development and breeds resentment.

blatt has been a god damn head coach for 3 months now, dealing with a roster of rejects, has beens, and injured players. how about for a second, you step away from the ledge and realize rome was not built in a day.

1-3 shooting, +6

you do realize you are arguing that the guy that had by far and away the worst +/- this game should have played more minutes.

If there's ever a time +/- fails it's this one. You could have put me on the floor for 5 minutes and I would have been +6. All that was required is watching J.R. Smith go berserk.

Yeah, the people who say it's that lineup that got us the lead didn't really watch the game. Jones was nowhere near Morris on defense. We were getting dominated on the glass as well. If it wasn't for LeBron and JR hitting tough shots, we'd be down more than 20. It was a mostly well played game by LeBron and Smith. A terribly coached game and an almost as terribly officiated game. We were lucky to be in the position we were, but when we went away from LeBron's drive, let James Jones stay in after the run was over, took some dumb shots, didn't box out, couldn't hold Morris, and got some bad calls against us, the game was sealed.

The defense was also phenomenal during our run to get back into the game. Give Blatt credit for recognizing that fact and keeping Love on the bench.

It's the middle of the game and the ref is trying to start the inbound and Blatt is on the court. Pretty self explanatory and Lebron just said in PGI he was protecting his coach.

this team couldnt defend a paper bag. until kyrie and love actually show some effort on that side of the ball this team is screwed. part of that falls on blatt, most of that falls on kyrie and love

Mozgov to push off Len. TT defends Morris. That's what it should have been. We were pretty much going to two guys offensively anyway, the least we could do is have some defense in there.

yep i agree. but at the same time kevin love was still 3-11 and -20. pretty much anyone would have been a better choice
