Game 40 | Cavaliers @ Lakers | January 15th, 2015 @ 10:30 EST

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
This looked like one of those Miami games where they just go through the motions in the first half and then decide to turn it on. The Cavs are not nearly good enough to do this on a regular basis...

They also had the Double Team Kobe game plan hamstringing then the first half.

It wasn't pretty but at least a win. Second half defense was better and the offense may have looked ugly but was highly efficient because of all the fouls we drew. Without calculating it exactly, we had an ORtg around 115-116. It was 113 against the Suns. In the seven games before that, we hadn't broken 103.

One thing about James playing like this is that he doesn't turn it over all the damn time. This is only thensecond game that he had fewer than 2 TOVs.

I know this is going to get killed for coming off as negative, but I'm already cringing about what the Clippers' PnRs are going to do to this team.

On the positive side, both Chris Paul and Jamal Crawford are on my fantasy team. So I guess that's a silver lining...

It was nice to see they made an adjustment.... sort of. Even with LeBron guarding him they still threw a few double teams to leave Hill wide open at the start of the 3rd.

Well if we make an adjustment like we did tonight on D for the first time in god knows how long. It might be a close game. Having Jamal Crawford on a fantasy team is good no matter what. That guy just amazes me time and time again.

No I agree with you. There isn't a ton to take out of that game other than Blatt won't be fired tonight, LeBron has carried the team two games in a row, and it's a win. It still wasn't good basketball and can't win a title.

But we needed a win, so whatever.

Snarly, you are hands down my favorite poster here. You crack me up, and I don't think you're trying.

Gotta have hope... I will be with my friend who is the most bi-polar fan ever. One minute the coach needs to be fired the next he is the best ect... The game threads are why I have this attitude hah. Thanks anyways I guess? :chuckle:

I've bitched about the Wiggins trade more than most. I think the reason some of us are still sort of angry about it is that we were marginalized by all the front runner Cavs fans in the media and in general (folks like Fedor, Lull, even The Bullshit Whisperer to a lesser extent) who just emerged from nowhere telling us how Wiggins was a scrub at this point and that we needed Love to win a title now.

Wiggins would not have helped us for the next two years and at the time this was a no brainer. Love has been fighting injuries all year and is not the same guy he was in Minny but tonight he gave me a reason that even on off nights he did stuff to help the team win. I was happy to see that.

My thinking is that when you play a back-to-back vs. the Lakers and Clippers, it's critical to win the "easy" game. A second win would be a bonus. It would be encouraging if they don't get crushed, of course.

I think Popovich would rest both Love and LeBron against the Clippers. Blatt doesn't have that luxury at this instant.

You know what I realized we did this with no Harris, Miller, or Jones. Are they that big of an issue?

I think Blatt is trying to lockdown his rotations. We still need to throw Shump in there but that will probably knock out Delly and cut down mins elsewhere.
