Dion Waiters

I still don't like the Wiggins trade, but I just can't imagine how anyone who has watched Waiters play can think that trade will ever be anything worse than a wash. Mr. Moonball is square peg/round hole when it comes to fitting into an offense. He's a role player who doesn't realize it. If he ever does he'll probably have a nice career. I think that day, if it ever comes, is at least 3 years away.

By the way, Waiters complains the players wouldn't pass to him. Wonder if the fact that he's a 40%-shooting volume chucker had anything to do with it? Obvious talent, but too much ego and not enough self-awareness.

I've avoided the Dion vs. JR debate because I think the whole thing is stupid and pointless, but.... JR shot terrible tonight. He was 5-16. HOWEVER, he went out and got 7 rebounds, 3 assists and 3 steals. Out of curiosity, I looked up how many times Dion had done that in his career. The answer? 1. One time. The double overtime game against Philly at home last year.

Food for thought...
 
And when I saw him Smith was encouraging getting the ball into the post. He doesn't play as 'strained' as Waiters always did.

Yeah that's right Dion is in the game till the very end playing minutes over Reggie Jackson . They know that Waiters defense is valuable to their lineup.
