Farewell, Timofey Mozgov

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
I had no idea that Mozgov had such a good all-around game. Running the floor, smart passes, sticking little jumpers, closing out on 3-point shooters, etc.

If he brings this game most nights, then we're in business. I wish I could buy Mr. Griffin a beer.

I've begun watching Timo with two emotions. One part amazement at his sheer size and ability to turn this team into a seeming defensive juggernaut, set screens that completely erase opposing players from my 60" 1080p HDTV, run the floor like a 7-foot gazelle and even knock down 15-18 footers with regularity.

One part constant fear that he is going to step on someone's foot and turn us back into the other 29 teams' favorite layup line.

I've seen enough. Can we sit him out until the playoffs start?

I bow to thee, Timofey.

Funny. I have similar paranoid thoughts watching him play. His value to this team is, IMO, second to LeBron - he just can't get hurt. That's the Cleveland in us talking, I think.

I don't care if the Cavs gave up two draft picks for him, he's a fucking steal. He just knows how to use his size and alter shots. He forces oppossing players to shoot from the outside. If he stays healthy, then the Cavs have a big shot to go far far in the playoffs. I still want the Cavs to add another big for insurance, but this dude is legit and does exactly what he was brought to Cleveland to do.

I am proud to say I was one of the 18 A+ voters. I saw last summer that Mozgov's fit on this team is perfect.

Everyone and their sister knew we needed a center and that Mozgov would be a great fit. In terms of market value I won't say we got a steal. Hard to imagine anyone giving up more than 2 1sts for Mozgov given where his numbers were at in Denver. Anyone know if we can go over the cap to sign him after next season?

Quite the tongue lashing from a guy who never heard of the Larry Bird Rights... but hey, team looks great right now and I've drank three Mozgov Cocktails. It's a good night and not the time to bicker.

Dion and a low first for Mozgof, Smith, and Shumpert

Look, I know it has only been a few games and we haven't seen Iman yet but in my years as Cavs fan since 1997 I think this trade might end u taking the cake - aside from Baron Davis and an unprotected first for Mo Williams...even if we didn't get lucky in the lottery and picked 8th, that was still a wonderful trade.

Going back, Tony Battie and two second rounders for Gooden and draft rights to Andy was a pretty good one, after Andy panned out. So was somehow, someway unloading Kemp for Gatling and Weatherspoon. Gatling for Ricky seemed good at the time lol. Of course there was Hughes and Gooden for Smith, West, Wallace, and Szczerbiak.

But in terms of Cavs trades since I became a fan, so far, this is right below Baron Davis trade.

Good job Griff

Hinson and $$ for the rights to Brad Daugherty remains the greatest of all Cavs trades.

Larry Bird Rights?

Isnt that the right to be the whitest player on the team yet still have 5 different baby mama's?

Two corrections: Bird Rule, 5 Mozgov Cocktails. :alc:

I still think we need one more big to help Moz out with the minutes. We might be asking him to do too much right now. He is playing a lot of minutes and going hard every second of them. I don't want this to be another Andy situation.

This. Plus our new defensive scheme (which I like) is funneling guys towards T-Mo and forcing them to finish over the top.

Come playoff time that could lead to a high risk of foul trouble for T-Mo depending on how the refs call it. Need another big so we can maintain the scheme.

They call him Mozzy
'Cause he is God of the Moz
He has opulence
