Building a Gaming PC

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
RAM finally arrived today. Couldn't confirm the memory I had was failing, but getting tons of Not Respondings, had a few windows Aero errors etc. Didn't realize how much of a drastic difference the new RAM would be. No hangups, recycle bin pops open quickly. Yay for me.

And my router just started not connecting to the internet. It's not my cable, it works fine plugged into any device. But router just suddenly quit connecting. The home network is there, but it refuses to see the modem for whatever reason. Thank god for cyber monday and a nice deal on an asus router.

Seriously at this moment, my luck is pretty damn awful.

Sounds like it lol.

I want a new mouse, hopefully another deal with a steam gift card comes back up.

Also looking to get a QNIX 1440p monitor sometime soon

After 3 hard resets, I was able to get the router working again. If it'll hold me over until tomorrow when my asus ac1750 arrives, then whatever. I'll just sell this one on facebook/craigslist for $30 or something.

Built it today, here's some pictures:

I'm using the same cpu cooler. Grrr I need to do a new build.

What the specs on that GTX 970 you got? I just ordered a EVGA GTX 970 Superclocked. Paid $350 for it from Newegg. My current vid card is a ATI 6870, so this outa be a pretty good upgrade.

Buying a 1440p korean monitor today for $150..cant wait! finally i'll have dual monitors and not only gain dem pixels but an extra 6" of screen size coming from a 21"

I might also buy a Ducky Shine red switch KB from the same guy depending on how much he wants, he's letting me borrow it for the time being and its really nice

Hey guys, I'm looking to upgrade my video card and am looking for some suggestions. Planning to stick with nVidia. My current card is a GTX 680 that has pretty much been able to run every game I've thrown at it on all high settings. However, I noticed some slow down for the first time on Far Cry 4 and decided it's time to get a new one, especially with regards to some of the games coming out in the near future like The Witcher 3.

The rest of my specs are:
ASRock 990FX Extreme9 Mobo
AMD FX-8350 CPU (8x 4.0GHz)
8GB DDR3-2133 memory by Corsair
1200 Watt Corsair power supply

I'm looking for something in the 300 to 400 dollar range ideally. Not looking to drop a grand on a Titan. :chuckle:

970 or 290X is really about it lol.. id go 290X with all the sweet AMD deals going on. i love mine, especially for the $250 I paid for it. maybe you can find a deal on a 780ti, i know a guy how got a stupid cheap one on amazon
