Building a Gaming PC

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Alright, so Dying Light has been stressing the shit out of my poor PC and I've been looking at building a new one since mine is getting up there in age. I decided on going AMD for the first time in probably a decade, and I picked out an FX-9590 cpu, and an Asrock 990FX Extreme 9 motherboard.

I wanted to get a be quiet! Dark Rock 3 for cooling: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produ...-na-_-na&cm_sp=&AID=10446076&PID=3938566&SID=

Has anyone used one of these things before? I'm concerned about how big it is, and most of the reviews I've found have stated problems with accessing the RAM with this installed, and the inability to use any RAM heat sinks. I'm not concerned about it being too close to the PCI express slot on this motherboard, should I be?

This is what I've got so far. I already bought the SSD and the PSU, and am waiting on a deal for the GPU. Any case suggestions or tweaks? http://pcpartpicker.com/p/wqk6xr

That's the exact same motherboard I have. I haven't had any issues with games until Far Cry 4, but upgrading my video card has solved that problem.

gotta love that new build smell. I still wanna do an HTPC inside an OG Xbox case, but the financials keep getting shat on. One day Ill do it though, itll be so nice to have since steam in home streaming works so well, itll be like having my rig in the living room

Thanks, but I actually just got a nice deal on an open box XFX 290X at Micro Center in Mayfield Heights yesterday. I went there just for a Mobo/CPU combo (Asrock 990FX Killer + AMD FX8350) and saw the case I picked out on Amazon for $40 cheaper, and found the video card they were literally placing into the cabinet in the back as I was walking over there. I spent almost $400 more than I anticipated, I'm glad its almost an hour drive or I'd go there often enough to need a second job.

I'm waiting on my RAM to be delivered today from Amazon and then I'm ready to assemble.

I'm slowly getting it to load. Not even asking the wife. Just buying it. Don't need the ram, will sell.
