Should Vaccination be Mandatory

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
American society in past 60 years, a transition from, "Being dumb at your own risk," to "Dumb as I wanna be" … and risking the lives of others.
Yes, risking the lives of others by not choosing to inject myself with something. DUMBEST ARGUMENT EVER.

If you've read everything I've said and this is still your viewpoint, there's no getting through to you.

If you have kids, pump them full of vitamin C rich foods, make sure they get a lot of sun, a lot of exercise, and use a lot of cinammon in your food. This will naturally boost the immune system and its something I try to do regularly myself, vaccinated or not, because its just a good idea.

What? No, I'm not. FHA housing is no different than any other housing.

This is my point; this is classic government overreach. There is no justifiable reason that a person wanting a loan guarantee to buy a home should be required to submit vaccination records.

It's not relevant to buying a house, it's just an unwarranted invasion of privacy.

Guor,

You are going to have to pick on a different social program. FHA is self sustained. Each loan has a 1.75 fee and now a monthly .875 fee to sustain the guarantee. None of your tax dollars go to the FHA program since its inception by FDR, which was the last time the American public paid for the program. (or at least while not being in it).

The up front and monthly MI are always changing to make sure the program remains self sustained.

PS. I hate FHA loans, just stating the fact you dont pay for the program.

Not to get off topic from this great discussion from the peanut gallery but why do you hate FHA loans? Do you hate dealing with them or hate that they exist?

The candida thing is fashionable amongst the naturopathic community. They claim the cure for cancer is injecting baking soda into tumors.
all of this stuff is obviously garbage, but some of these claims are just so far beyond mind-boggling. there's only one special person in my life that believes that nonsense and i deliberately speak to her as little as possible because she spews so much ignorance. (naturally, she's an anti-vaxxer too)

as an aside, it is so sad when otherwise intelligent and reasonable people fall victim to these beliefs and actually attempt to utilize them against diseases (see: steve jobs, which he did end up regretting).

Dumbest ever, eh? I shall take pride in that then.

It comes down to a matter of social responsibility and morality--we both have a different take on it. No point in "debating" the issue further.

Neither, they really are not that favorable under current construction to a borrower. The 1.75 upfront is expensive, so on a 200k purchase, that is $3500 tacked on to the loan. The MI is very expensive, still, about twice as much as conventional MI (used to be 3 times as much), and the MI is for life currently.

The down payment difference is only 1.5%, so on the 200k loan, that is only 3k more to close. I know to some people that is a ton of money, but buying a house out of desperation is not a smart purchase imo.

About 7 years ago they were pretty decent loans. The MI was similar to conventional and the up front mi was only .5% or 1k on the 200k purchase. They only needed 3% down, so it was a difference of 4k instead of 3k and the MI went away once your equity position was 22% and 5 years had passed.

Any other questions, probably better to PM me, i dont want to derail a great and needed EAYOR discussion.

1. Kudos to people actually being civil to the anti-vaxxers in this thread, you are a better person than I.

2. Are there any good examples of the snowball effect that have taken place? This is more curiousity than anything.

3. I don't understand this "government can/cannot tell me to do this", obviously the government can tell you to do a whole lot of things, it is not a black/white issue and I don't see a big difference between the government telling you that you CAN'T put something in your body (eg certain drugs), and the government telling you that you MUST put something in your body (barring a damn good reason not to) to prevent harm to yourself and (especially) others. Then again, I don't care about the letter of the law and the evil government taking all of our precious rights as I care about common sense and preventing illness.

Please, do your own fucking research. Don't believe it just because it's there in front of you and don't believe it just because a Dr. who is paid to tell you something tells you it.

A-men brother.

Mar, and others, dial it down a notch. Keep it civil.

I actually clicked on the first link and had an epiphany. You're stance makes so much sense now.
