Trade Deadline ––> Waiver/Buyout Deadline 2015 (March 1)

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
I may get roasted for saying this but GS is not built for a successful playoff run. Tons of depth but they rely too much on jump shooting.

I don't know if you'll get roasted, but I just got flashbacks to Orlando...

Quickly disagree. What makes the Warriors so special is their ball movement. So they can kill you in so many ways. OH, and they are a top, top defensive team. It's all about Bogut. With him healthy the sky's the limit.

The Western Conference playoffs are going to be brutal. Golden State could get the #1 seed then have to go through Oklahoma City, San Antonio and Memphis to get to the finals. Glad the Cavs are in the East.

Curry and Thompson heavily rely on shooting because they are amazing at it. I guess I don't understand your criticism because the Spurs of last year, Mavs of a few years ago, and Celtics before that did not have anyone who was a better scorer than either Curry or Thompson. I think your criticism is more legitimate against a team like Atlanta who really doesn't have a prolific scorer. Golden State has two.

My argument is that you can not rely on your shot to be falling every game in a playoff series. Shooting slumps can hit any player, especially when you can matchup well defensively. You're correct those three teams did not have the shooting prowess the splash brothers hold and that is my point. No team in the last ten years that won a championship were so reliant on straight forward jump shooting.

That Orlando series was a g** damn anomaly. That series actually made me fear the likes of Rashad Lewis & Mikael Pietrus. It only further illustrates my point that great shooting teams in the regular season may not be able to sustain that in the playoffs. Once those gaudy shooting percentages dried up, Orlando was exposed.

Nah. What made the Magic so diffcult for that Cavs team was that we were forced to pack the paint on DH12, only for him to kick it out.

Dwight averaged 25 & 13 in that series. Once we added pressure, he would move the ball & his team would either knock down a shot or make the extra pass. Shard averaged 48% from 3, with 18ppg. Turk averaged 40% from 3, Skip to My Lou 40%, Pietrus 47%.

GSW in theory could shoot just as well, but they will not have the inside presence that the Magic did. We could play a man-to-man, and not worry about MozGod dealing with Bogut. Not to mention we have 2 defenders that were light years better than that team.... Shumpert & Lebron. While Delonte was a great defender, his size hurt him while having to guard a stretch four shooting 40+% from 3. Kyrie & JR may not be the best defenders, but they ball out in big games, and GSW will have to work on both ends. We did not have that luxury in 2009. They are one of the teams that I actually would not be worried about.

What team are you worried about?

You are misrepresenting my point. None of those three teams had someone who could get them the "easy bucket" as you claim necessary. Those three teams were worse defensively than Golden State, too. Steph Curry and Klay Thompson are probably going to go down as one of the best combos of scoring guards in NBA history. Just because they don't have Lebron James doesn't mean they won't win it all.
