Gotta give Detroit some credit, they're getting the most out of a limited roster, too bad they didn't get rid of josh smith earlier.
We really saw the value of Love stretching the floor here and it wasn't really tenable for Detroit to have a Monroe or Drummond on love or jones, so the matchup was either explioted or they were forced to sit one. They did a good job of keeping Kyrie out of the passing lanes, but we found other ways to win this one, namely, actually playing defense. After giving up 62 points in the first half and a mistake laden 2nd quarter, the starters came out with something to prove only allowing 12 points in the 3rd. It kind of messed the usual rotations up needing to play lebron longer in the 3rd, but I like how Blatt rode the hot lineup in the 4th, sitting 4 starters till about 5 minutes left when love and Kyrie came in.
TT was getting outmatched in the first half but the cavs made some adjustments after halftime. Perkins was totally lost out there but he joined the team today so I was surprised to see him at all. As much crap as has been said, he was the best realistic option, and really, before the trade dealine, not really a realistic option. I see him filling the 4th big role and playing against bigger teams or times when Mozzy is in fouls trouble.
The Warriors matchup should be a good one, can't wait till Thursday
