If sarcastic...Wait...
Kevin Love would pick someone else over LeBron?
Why? Even if he feels this way why the fuck would you say it?
If sarcastic...
If serious... answer is in the Love thread.
That thread is a mess, care to just drop a quick one-liner so I can understand a bit better? Why does Kevin Love not think LeBron should be MVP?
Must be missing something?
Love also went to college with Westbrook. Can't overlook that.
someone doesnt like being skewered....
Also, I wouldn't really blame Love for taking a minor shot at LeBron after LeBron (allegedly) did the same to him a few months back. That said, the most important thing I take from that interview, and the most important thing everyone should take from that interview (despite the fact that media members are running with literally everything else) is that Love flat out said he intends to be a Cavalier next year regardless of the outcome of this season. Athletes rarely make those kinds of definitive statements when they're approaching free agency. Love has said that he cares about winning more than anything else, and his stance on returning to the Cavs seems to support this. He can win titles here and he knows it.
I do think he should spend the summer lobbying for an increased role in the offense, or at least to get the ball in spots where he can be of the most benefit to the team given his skillset. He should obviously be used in the stretch role sometimes, but not virtually all the time, as that diminishes his talent set.
We can think about at the opposite way, Love should feel very comfortable about his relationship with LeBron to choose Russ in front of him as an MVP. He could answer something like "Man, with all due respect, Bron is the king and he needs to win the 5 next MVP's" while deep in his heart he hates him. Instead of that he just felt free to say whatever he want on him. I liked his honesty.I just feel that he was out of line commenting on the MVP race in such a way as to diminish his own teammate; the best player in the league, by far..
More to the point, what Love said is patently false.
LeBron James is the better player who has done more for his team throughout the season than Russell Westbrook. I'm cool with him lobbying for his college buddy, but, he could've kept his mouth closed.
I'm not trying to blow anything out of proportion, but me sitting here reading what he said, it was frankly unnecessary.
Imagine if Blatt had said the same thing? His thread would've exploded.
Maybe Kevin is just being honest? I love LeBron too, but I really think Westbrook might be the MVP as well.
I don't think it's that bad. If he didn't even mention LeBron at all, I'd say that's not good. But he made sure to mention him, so it wasn't disrespectful. His answer seem pretty honest to me.
I don't really care. They don't have to be best friends, but there's not much to say they have serious conflict with each other either.
Players on the same team aren't always friends. I don't care what team it is, not all of them hang out together. As long as everyone is on the same page on the court, and there's not some serious animosity going on, it really doesn't matter to me.
I feel that.. I don't know if it matters or not to be honest, just voicing my opinion that if I were LeBron and I read that I'd say to myself "wow... what a douchebag."
I wouldn't take it any farther than that, but I'd feel slighted like; "dude, you play with me all the time, when was the last time you shared a court with Westbrook?"
I'm just trying to keep it real...
