Almost every show on TV requires more concentration than The Walking Dead, and by that I mean they require any concentration.

Certain plot lines this year, like Sansa's, are already caught up with the books and passing them, or changing them significantly, as appears to be the case for her. Jaime's story is also going to be quite a bit different, as he never goes to Dorne in the books. The Dorne storyline from the fourth book centers around another knight of the Kingsguard, and also Doran Martell's daughter Arianne, who doesn't appear to exist in the show universe at all. It looks like she's being replaced by Oberyn's paramour, who in the books advised against war but on the show seems like she will be campaigning for it like Arianne did in the novels. Brienne's story appears to be quite different as well due to the absence of a certain key character that I won't name because it's still possible she could pop up on the show. Doubtful, at this point (the time to reveal her probably would have been at the end of either season three or four), but still possible.
The majority of the show's characters, though, will be caught up at the end of this season, as Chris mentioned. I'd imagine some story lines will lag a bit behind simply because there's a lot of text between books four and five, but most should be up to date by episode ten this year.

Yeah, it was nice to see him actually get to kick some ass on the show given his reputation as a total badass swordsman. Dude just walked in and killed like eight guys.
