Dude got a 1 game suspension for purposely elbowing Terry in the playoffs but some people think sucker punching someone gets the same punishment. Than again there clowns who think crowder hurt himself and deserved it cause he fouled him

Because @Scar4343 just laid out all the relevant precedents, and a 3-game suspension would not appear to be in line with similar recent incidents. It would be the league being grossly unfair. Which is not out of the question.

Rumblings of some analyst and reporters are saying probably gonna be a 1 game suspension.
 
If we get JR after one game, which will be a home game we have a decent chance of winning, then we're pretty lucky. If Love comes back after 3 or 4 games and we're 2-2 or better, we'll weather this shit storm.

Maybe Wilt Chamberlain would have accepted if Muhammad Ali had challenged him to a no-look, behind-the-back punching match instead of boxing, lol.
 
I've watched the play several times. It's not good for JR but I don't think it's a "sucker punch". Typically a sucker punch is when the other person isn't paying attention and you are. I actually think there was probably some bad luck involved with this as I'm not sure how JR sees behind himself to know where Crowder was.

I would imagine that the intent if any was to catch him in the chest with an elbow. Still not good but usually effective. I believe Mosgov caught a few of those in the series that weren't even called fouls.
 
JR is like the Outlaw Jose Wales of the NBA. He's trying to get away and find a new life and a home with the Cavs, but sometimes trouble just follows a man.
I reckon so.

The thing is it happens at full speed, you don't know at what height the player is when he's behind you like that. It's similar to the NFL/college football when you get a targeting call because the offensive player ducks and you hit them in the head.
