If I had Heath Ledgers accent I would have been rolling in females...

"Damaged" and "hahaha" being tattooed on his body, for me, don't bode well. It almost seems like someone is desperately trying to portray themselves as being psychotic rather than simply being psychotic.

I think a lot of people view tattoos as a expression of who they are, so I could see how a version of the joker would get all tatted up with iconography and writing of that nature.

As you said about the Ledger joker, it is just an outward depiction of the crazy on the inside.

I mean I totally get that this is a radically different Joker than what we have seen in the past, but I think people should give Leto more than a photo to judge what his Joker will be like.

I don't understand how people can already know that this version of the Joker is good or bad based on a photo.

I could give a shit less about Batman, but Leto is literally one of the best actors of all time and he loves a challenge.

I'm actually looking forward to seeing how he does it.

It's interesting because I think he's totally miscast for the part.

Regardless of the genre or comic background, he seems like the very last guy I would consider for the role..

But we'll see.

I don't know how much 30 seconds to mars you listen to but his stage presence is generally over-the-top, and I'm guessing he's going to lean on that quite a bit.

I agree though that he hasn't played anything close during his film career.

Honestly, I would have said the same thing back when a bisexual cowboy, who always portrayed a lovable character in his movies, was cast as the Joker for The Dark Knight. His portrayal turned out okay...overrated by his death, but still really good.

Totally.. I did say the same thing.

overrated by his death, but still really good.

I feel you.. But it was one of the best performances of a character in a movie, like, in any movie... He did a phenomenal job.

Oh, I agree...just there are some who claim its one of the greatest performances in any movie ever, which I disagree with. Arguably the greatest portrayal of a villain ever though (him and Hannibal Lecter are 1a/1b for me).

Don't forget about this guy..

Definitely my personal favorite.

Ex Machina - 7/10

Liked the pace and the acting. At first, I thought the finale was dumb, but after a day, I decided it actually was a good ending.

A few too many predictable sci-fi movie cliches for me to absolutely love it.

Also, I had a movie ruiner in the theater for the first time in a long time. Dude laughed at EVERY scene, even though it very much was not a comedy.

I don't watch many movies, but watched 5 in the last week:

Interstellar - 9/10
Hobbit 3 - 5/10
Back to the Future trilogy - 7.5/10

Why such a meh rating on the last of the hobbit installment?
