Is it wrong for me to imagine Parker and Blatt spraying each other with champagne bottles after the game?

so we've got at least a week of practices with Blatt having availability most of it (whether or not I go, which at this point is in God and the NBA front office's hands. Teams stop assigning local press at Finals)

I'm interested in getting some questions for him since we should have some time, and some questions that stay away from the kind every Joe Neckbone asks which off the top off my ass would be : "How do you stop Stephen Curry" "how did you become a TEAM" "when did this change start (for like the umpteenth time)" "Are you surprised JR Smith is so good and not a cancer" "do you feel you're peaking at right time" "Is LeBron a good/great/greatest player"

Please also consider that Blatt will not be revealing strategy so questions that I'd like to ask like -- " do the same principles of stopping the 3 ball apply to the GS as the Hawks, and what are they", "teams have switched the pick and roll on GSW all playoffs, what are the pros/cons", "Do you expect to slow the pace" (obviously yes) "DO you think west coast teams are more vulnerable to physical play like the lakers vs. the pistons back in yr day (*wink*)" but I'm unlikely to get much so these are kind of hail marys you hope something useful comes from

But seriously there are going to be like 4-5 opportunities before Thursday to ask questions so I expect to field several crowdsourced ones. get to it....

Funny you mention it because was just thinking about something I would like to ask Blatt or LeBron earlier today. I'm not exactly sure how to craft the question in a way that is politically correct, but something like "Given the inexperience of Golden State in the Finals, how important is it to set the tone from game 1?".

Basically a polite way of asking how important is it to steal the first game and shake their confidence for young guys that might not be prepared for the big stage. LeBron did it to OKC and the Mavs did it to LeBron. Maybe it's a better question for LeBron and perhaps just reference how the past experiences in the Finals will help him.

Maybe it isn't the greatest question, I'll try to think of something better in the mean time. I spend so much time day dreaming the great questions I would ask if I was part of the media, and now I have a chance and I can't think of anything :chuckle: Something better will come to me, don't worry.

I wonder who really reads this message board now n days let alone who posts here in stealth. Parker you one person in local media I 100% support I love the mag and always try to get one. The best thing in Cleveland is free glad to have you aboard.

I'd love for you to ask him now that he's had a season and playoffs to digest and experience the NBA grind just how different (if there is a difference) the pressure is to the years in Euroleague and International BBall on him and his team. and how he's coped with it.

When the Chris Parker thread on RCF blew up at the beginning the editor of The Scene tweeted both this this thread and the NEOMG one where we were ripping Vardon and Fedor to shreds side by side to show the difference between how we reacted to Chris and them. I know it was on Jason Lloyd's timeline as well so there's no doubt in my mind that they are at the very least aware of RCF, if not reading it themselves.

Chris

i think a question about controlling the pace is definitely the way to go. Something like "The cavs have found a wining formula by controlling the pace of the games in the playoffs. How much of that is due to specific gameplan decisions and how much of it is just a testimony to the team relentless effort on the glass"

I would also like to hear his thoughts about attacking mismatches "Do you believe it is always right to attack a mismatch or do you prefer teams to stay within their continuity and players in theri familiar roles

Not picking favorites, but I like where you're going on this Adam. Especially as last night I asked him about going big against a small team which he has done very little of, as T-Mo's 23-26 mpg attests. However in Chicago Gm4 and this one he gave Mozgov extended run (39 mn, 15p 9rb 3b 8FTA)

Last night in 35 mn he had 14p, 7rb 3blk 1 stl, 5FTA, which says to me that it's possible to get more out of T-Mo (tho' both games he had 5 fouls) if Blatt will give him the run. As my question for Blatt last night indicated, I think this is one avenue of attack on GSW.

you may not recall but tho' T-Mo only played 25 mn of the 110-99 victory but he had a +17 +/- to lead the team.

Chris I am not sure you could write about this but a Cleveland talk show host could not even answer a question about the game (Kevin Kiley) because he was watching another TV show instead? Unreal how someone would admit that the day after a Conference clinching game!!! Why does Cleveland have to settle for such horrible media?

Dude, thankfully I don't know who some of these yokels are so I can't really call them out, but I listened to football conversations around me during the playoff games. Just absurd.

and this is reflected in the articles written post game.

Maybe not the best but if you could, possibly ask Blatt about his relationship with his coaching staff. We always ask or are curious about the dynamic between coach and players. What has Blatt learned from his staff and how have they worked together, specifically in these playoffs, to create a game plan and work on adjustments as the flow of the game dictates
