JR Smith

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
I know the Warriors are better defensively, but why oh why couldn't have had his shit shooting series against the less talented Hawks. The series may have went longer, but we would have still won.

Lesson learned for everyone should be that, yes, highly volatile streak shooters really CAN shoot that poorly X amount of games in a row. That's what makes them streak shooters. He was unconscious against Atlanta and he couldn't by a bucket against Golden State. That's life with JR Smith.

I think JR needs to get disinfected after soiling himself so bad. He is just sitting in a puddle of loose stools right now. He needs to get hosed down, scrubbed, and given a change of clothes and a course of antibiotics.

when the game was over J.R started raining 3's like it was nothing.... he can hit every shot when hes relaxed and has no pressure.

the pressure was just too much for him and you could see on his face he was devastated by the way he kept playing, feel bad for J.R but he was great for us in this playoff run

Hopefully, this awesome Finals showing is just gonna make the Cavs stronger for long term. Their performances on the biggest stage will drastically lower their asking price and we can add more younger and useful players.

Shump, Delly and JR shot 25.4% (15-59) from 3pt range the last 3 games, 25.3% (23-91) overall FG%.

and for perspective

Iggy, Barnes, Barbosa shot 44.4% (16-36) from 3 the last 3 games. 35% (29-83) overall FG%.

Fact is that without Kyrie there was only 1 real threat to drive to the basket with LeBron. Which means they could better cover our guys. They got in our faces and rattled us. Doesn't explain the WIDE OPEN misses but it's a start.

Also, 91 total shots means Shump, JR, and Delly had 30 shots combined those last 3 games. That is them being used WAYYYY more than they are used to. They averaged a combined 14.25 FGA/game in the Boston series. Asking players to double their usage rate because of injury can go one of two ways. We know which way it went for us.

ps I don't know why I used Barbosa for this. Deal with it.

JR is one of those tricky players that needs to know hes wanted but cant deal with being needed. He is perfect in that middle amount of responsibility. I think hes a good fit for the cavs long term on the bench because he happy and will plays as much or as little as the team needs based on his performance that game. 4th/5th option designated gunner is perfect. He has been so much better than expected all season but as injuries piled up expectation increased on him

Um........the fuck is JR gonna do? That's a bold move, J.R......

I like him as a fit on this team, as a 3rd or 4th option. Not 2nd.

I wouldn't mind bringing him back at all.

Good luck to whoever takes on this headcase, would shed no tears if he left.

C'mon man. You are being harsh on him. He had a bad series. But, when his role was as a third or fourth option, he was really good. You can't buy a Fiat and expect it to run like a Ferrari.
