And yes, there is. The biggest knock on Jones is his lack of burst and first step, which has killed many a PG who aren't elite class ball handlers or gifted with the ability to be a knock down shooter, which Jones is neither. He is going to get roasted on the defensive side of the ball.
And for reference, Kendall Marshall's combine number for the agility drill: 12.03 seconds. Jones: 11.89. Marshall's for the full court sprint: 3.23 seconds. Jones: 3.32 seconds. Marshall's lack of burst had him out of the league in 3 years...we'll see with Jones.
I get it, you like Jones, but I just don't see it with him being able to succeed in the NBA as a heavy minutes contributor, unless he miraculously finds some athleticism. Maybe Wiggins and LaVine will transfer some to him.
