Cracks me up how the crowd got most fired up when Yankees fans began to be obnoxious (i.e., themselves) late in the game. THEN everyone got riled up. It was cool to see the crowd immediately get behind the team in the bottom of the 10th when Lindor got on. Instead of the usual 'woe is us, they won't come back' hand-sitting, fans were loud and behind the team... unfortunately it was only to spite the Yankees fans in attendance. This got me thinking- should the team start 'planting' opposing fans just to get our fans going? Ive seen it fire up the fans repeatedly over the years, moreso than even playoff games. Even back in the 'heyday' the fans would get loudest once Boston/NY fans started chirping. Maybe this is what is needed to get Cleveland sports teams the kind of crowds we see for Golden State or StL Cards games.
