No one else is there to compete with him, so he has the job going forward. He has potential and has shown to be solid thus far.

And by the way, if any of you knobgobblers heard Lindor talk, he said it was a combination of him bunting on his own and from Francona. I gaurantee you it's more from Francona.

If you've ever played baseball you know that NOBODY likes to bunt, except for maybe Michael Bourn because he can't hit worth shit.

... Michael Bourn can't bunt. And Kenny Lofton loved to bunt. So did Omar Vizquel. Jackie Robinson led the league twice in sacrifices- including the year he led baseball in WAR and batting average.

I'm fine with the occasional bunt. One thing I couldn't stand though is when Kipnis would lead off the game with a walk/single and then Lindor would bunt him over in the first inning. If Brantley didn't drive Kipnis home after that, he wasn't coming home with the way Santana/Moss were playing at the time.

Lindor is a pretty good hitter already for his age. I mean, he's batting .283. That's higher than everybody I can think of on the team except for Kipnis and Brantley. Let the kid swing the bat.
