2015 Series #37 -|- Indians vs. Yankees -|- August 11th, 12th, and 13th

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Rather see Webb out there than Austin Adams.

At least the Tribe took the series. Their gonna have to continue to this from here on out, of course.

LAA down 4-1 to KC in 7th so there's that.

Offense score six runs and very one by Brantley had at least one hit.

They've been the weak link all year but can't pin tonight on them at all

Lindor is doing it on his own.....

Likely.

Though with a team so desperate for offense it's clear there is an established philosophy there.

Need to scale it back, especially if you expect Lindor to be your #2 moving forward.

Yeah, it needs to stop ASAP-- I would hope Tito or Antonetti would address it. I understand the kid wants to be a good teammate but he can produce, they need him to produce.

You're right about the philosophy-- Lindor (8), Ramirez (5), Perez (4), Aviles (3), Kipnis (2), Chisenhall (2). That's eight-innings worth of free outs for an AL team.....

Is Lindor any good? Can't find his stats anywhere.

I highly doubt Francona is going to address it. The Indians led the AL in sacrifice hits last year, and they're going to do it again this year. Right now they have 35, the Rangers have 31, and the next closest is the Angels with 25. Sadly, it's just team philosophy from an organization that invests heavily in advanced statistics that directly contradict that play style. Common sense also contradicts it, but I digress.

No one else is there to compete with him, so he has the job going forward. He has potential and has shown to be solid thus far.

He's better than Santana and Sticky P....so that's good.

And by the way, if any of you knobgobblers heard Lindor talk, he said it was a combination of him bunting on his own and from Francona. I gaurantee you it's more from Francona.

If you've ever played baseball you know that NOBODY likes to bunt, except for maybe Michael Bourn because he can't hit worth shit.
