The Jazz didn't almost pull away with this game because we were careless. They are well coached and well disciplined for a young team.

Hats off to them. Like someone else said, they were good enough tonight to beat a top team especially with their flurry of offense late in the game as well as their ability to match our uptempo play by turning the tables on us at least 3 times tonight. Their fast break defense had a hand in those "careless passes".

They'll be in the playoff mix this year in the West and could be a sleeper if they stay healthy.

Have to disagree with this. I was at this game and there was no energy or caring from the Cavs (or the crowd) until the final 7 min, or whenever the non-kickball was called. Jazz are scrappy, but this could have been an easy 20 point win.

It could have been. It also could have been a Jazz 15 point lead as the Jazz went up 9 at one point.

LeBron has been coasting (intelligently) and allowing the team to take the load off himself. It took LeBron stepping up to take this win whereas most of these other wins have been a mix of great play from LBJ and consistent play from the starters down to the bench.

This was the first match up since opening game where I felt like LBJ had to come in and save us. Credit to Utah for that.

Yeah....it could have been a jazz 15 point lead since we were coasting... I don't understand this post. Oh well, I'm not here to argue about the Jazz. Sure, they remind me of the 97 Bulls. Great team we beat tonight.

Their not a great team but you have to mind your P's and Q's around them. That's all I'm really saying. We're not even 75% healthy so my take is strictly from that perspective.

We could have put the game away multiple times but ended up relying on clutch free throws at the end.

They gave us a respectable go at it.

I do like Hayward. He's like a taller, more athletic Delly.

I like their coach. Quin Snyder has this team running the floor both offensively and defensively. Their body language is good and clearly seem confident. Surely teams take their intensity up a notch against a contender like ours but this organization is a superstar and a FA signing/trade away from being a contender.

They're on the cusp and maybe they get to that next level in the next 3 years. This team has a rich history with a great fanbase and I'd like to see them take that next step if nothing more than to appease my nerdom for the Olajuwon/Elie/Smith/Drexler vs. Malone/Sockton/Schrempf/Glove years.

When you turn the ball over as much as we did you shouldn't win

You shouldn't turn the ball over as much as we did. My point is this team is much better than Utah, with or without Irving and it shouldn't have come down to free throws. It was a grind out victory that needed LeBron going off in the 4th to rescue us. They're playing too loose with the ball and have been doing so for the past week and a bit. Even if Utah is a playoff team, we had the same issue with Philadelphia. We have great depth, and have had a relatively easy schedule. Once we start playing better teams, hopefully these errors will stop (seems like they don't care and expect to win) but I don't want that attitude to carry over.

As long as our starting backcourt is out, a win is a win is a win. It always helps to stockpile wins, for a rainy day.

And I'm about the most cantankerous mofo IN here.

This was a great win because Utah wanted this one badly. They were playing with intensity all night and the fact Gobert came limping back into the game says it all - their coach was coming after this one and Utah had won 3 straight games on the road.

Gordon Hayward comfortably has the best hair in the NBA. I wonder how much that will be a factor tonight with all eyes on those locks.

@Maximus @The Oi

He literally has everything going with that hair. The only possible way that hair could be better is if he had a man bun tied up back there.

Jesus Christ.

See from a few angles I thought he looked like a butch lesbian. Shows you how removed I am from hair trends.

Currently, you can rock a real close-cropped fade transitioned into long hair up top and tied back into a bun.

Anyone who says they don't care about the regular season is straight lying. Every moment with this team is a joy, playoff games or not. Cavs had this game in the bag and put themselves under pressure, gifting the ball away on too many occasions. But then to turn around and drop 118 points on a team defense giving up 80 points a night is just a tremendous effort.

I don't know about you guys, but each day we get to watch this team continues to be exciting. Embrace it; don't sit around waiting for the playoffs. The playoffs will come in due time, but while we wait, let's enjoy watching this team evolve into the dominant, long-term force it is going to become.
