Johnny Manziel: Swan Won't Return His Calls

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
No doubt in my mind. The tank effectively ended when Johnny was benched. The Ravens are missing Flacco, Forsett, Smith, and Suggs. They are starting Shaub. Even this defense can hold Shaub under 30.

As if the pick hasn't set this franchise back enough. Just when it was about to start giving back to the tune of leading us to our next potential FQB this happens.

Seriously this pick could not have been worse for this franchise. Would have been better if the clock just expired. And the thing that pisses me off most if how surprised the front office is. Like boobie said. Could there have been a more predictable ending?

Yep the Browns can't do anything right. They can't even lose the right way. even the Colts did it when Luck was there. Man well they can't draft right anyways so who cares at this point.

It's funny you say that because my friend texted me saying 'this is rock bottom'

And I said I WISH for once we could hit rock bottom. But unfortunately this is looking like 4th or 5th from the bottom now. Yippee!!

Uh..... Johnny is the leading storyline.

I know i was being sarcastic as in. Watch he will go somewhere else and light up the league and we will look like the big fools yet again when all is said and done. God I hope again that does not actually happen.

The fuck is he still doing on this team?

Reserved/Suspended list. Get him out of the meetings, away from the team.

Get the fuck out, go be the celebrity you want to be.

I agree now that he is third string just cut him already. I would have tried to play him out for the season just to see if we could get any value or help the tank. However at this point just cut the kid.

Haha, well, that's it for me this season. Just no reason at all to watch at this point.

I'm with you... even would be excited to see Austin Davis start. They liked him enough to sign him to a multi year contract, might as well see what we have. I mean we're a 2-8 team with a 36 year old journeyman starting... there's literally nothing to look forward to.

Fuck Joe Lull, too.

Just keep letting Manziel shit on any sort of responsibility because people are so enthralled by him being exciting.

I usually see things similar to Lull but I'm polar opposite on Manziel. He was a big Manziel guy and has stayed loyal. Still I don't get this stance at all. The Browns do not trust Manziel any longer. It doesn't matter what he can do on the field anymore. They want John Manziel and keep getting Johnny Football. They are done. The Manziel era is over in Cleveland.

Right decision to bench Johnny, and I agree that his time here is over. As long as he's on the roster you have to teach him that football gets taken away if the off the field shit becomes a distraction, and unfortunately for Johnny he obviously hasn't learned that lesson. Pettine gave Johnny enough rope to hang himself and he stepped right into that loop.

I just wish we were playing Austin Davis instead of McCown because the sames reasons still apply for why I wanted Johnny to start.

People say this about every single player that leaves the Browns and they never do shit. In two years he'll be doing sideline reports for Texas A&M football. A guy with Manziel's physical limitations needs to be a total film/study rat, needs to be dedicated above and beyond to the game in order to even survive in this league, and he ain't.

FWIW I doubt the Ravens are going to take a QB regardless of where they pick, not with the investment they've made in Joe Flacco. I'll bet they go defense, maybe Joey Bosa. There will be quarterbacks available where we pick.

uhhh guys, McCown hasn't won games this season, or his entire career. Why would that be any different for the last few games of the year?

Just thinking about all the wasted potential makes me sick

He could have been the league leader in moxie year in and year out. And he threw it all away.

He beat the Ravens when he was AFC player of the week when they had their starting QB and RB. On the road. We play that team with Matt Shaub at home on Monday Night. One game might be enough to tip the tank scale. McCown gives this team the better chance to win.

That was my point, the way this season has gone it would just cap it off if that did happen hence my sarcastic post. However I feel Mcgown really won't hurt our draft chances as he has not really won here as well and if the defense keeps looking awful not even a good QB could help them. The season is basically over the Browns players them selfs are fed up via tweets.Cut Johnny and decide what to do with the FO and coaches next.

A competent organization would cut Manziel, and put an end to the sideshow. Fortunately, the Browns are not a competent organization.

I don't think anyone currently employed by the Browns knows what they're doing, so, in lieu of hope, I'm enjoying this shit.
