A competent organization would cut Manziel, and put an end to the sideshow. Fortunately, the Browns are not a competent organization.

I don't think anyone currently employed by the Browns knows what they're doing, so, in lieu of hope, I'm enjoying this shit.

A competent Organization wouldnt of made Johnny's antic newsworthy by overreacting or making a big fuss about everything Manziel did on his free time.

Browns knew what they were drafting.

If Manziel had been arrested or missed practice. or was out after curfew. blast him. Someone took a video on his days off with no curfew and they (Pettine) takes a stand cause he didnt think Johnny has permission to goto a night club.

Pettine never seemed like he wanted to start Manziel in the first place.

99% of the time a player drinking at a club on a bye week isnt gonna sell any papers. TMZ themselves said they had no reports of manziel doing anything wild and crazy.

When he was asked about the video . Manziel was in the middle of Charity work.

last i checked. Josh Gordon is still on the roster.

it will be interesting to see how long Pettine "punishes" Manziel

...And if you didn't see this day coming a week after he got out of rehab with the info flying around, you might also want to reconsider your steadfast faith in the Tooth Fairy and the Boogeyman. Dude has shown every sign of being a fake at every turn, dating back to college.

One of these days, I will feel good about being a fan of the Browns rather than being right about the foregone conclusions regarding the Browns. That day still feels a long way off.

I have a hard time believing the players are going to go all out to win any games for this franchise. They felt the tank coming weeks ago.

I'm amazed at how many Johnny supporters there are after all this.

Johnny wasn't benched just because he was out partying. He was benched because he told the Browns when they drafted him that he was done being "Johnny Football"... he's been on TMZ a dozen times since looking like a total jackass (swan, money video, drinks dumped on him, etc.) flipped a team off on camera, entered rehab for alcohol/more, kept drinking after rehab, got into a domestic dispute with the same party girl he dated before rehab, used last week's down time to go to A&M and get wasted... and after ALL that, Pettine gave him the job anyway and specifically met with him telling him "Hey, congrats. Now don't screw this up." Johnny says he won't be an embarrassment over the bye... then immediately flies out to Austin and gets wasted.

Dude had a super long leash and did nothing with it but see how far he could stretch it. He deserves what he got today and the sooner we move on, the better.

A few teammates were consulted again, they've had enough...they had enough last year.

I dont think they want to start Davis on MNF. I also dont think they want to cut johnny before MNF. I bet he gets cut tuesday. I bet Davis gets handed the reigns soon after.
