2016 WORLD SERIES Game #6 -|- Indians Vs Cubs -|- November 1, 2016 @ 8:00 PM EST

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
if the Indians drop a 3-1 lead will that sour the taste of the Cavs coming back from down 3-1?

No. Chicago's the favorites, the Cavs weren't. So if Chicago comes back to win, they're just meeting expectations.

I'm sorry but being realistic, the Indians are going to have a tough time winning this. I'd be floored if Kluber is dominant being his third appearance of the series(not as rested and Cubs seen his stuff live twice). Rizzo, Bryant, and Zobrist are on fire, the likelihood of keeping the Cubs offense under three runs right now is slim. They have a ton of confidence rolling into this game, and Cubs fans travel well, it will be a good environment for them. The Indians are just not consistent enough batting, too many runners stranded and nobody is truly dangerous this series in their lineup. These Cubs pitchers don't have anyone to fear. And to add to that, the Cubs are doing all the little things right. Their defense is incredible and they aren't making little mistakes like the Indians. Cubs in 7. Indians had their chance but the Cubs have too much momentum now, similar to the Cavs they think they have the figured out the Indians and have the confidence now to win this.

Eh, momentum this confidence that. Before these last two wins by the Cubs the Indians pummeled them in their house to go up 3-1 and had all the "momentum" in the world.

It's a tough circumstance no doubt, but all it takes is Kluber being on his game and suddenly the Cubs won't be feeling so hot.

Hypothetically..

if the Tribe drop a 3-1 lead will that sour the taste of the Cavs coming back from down 3-1?

Not that we won't be as excited about winning a championship. Idk..I don't know if I can have "fun" with it like before.

Of course we won't have to worry about it as we win game 7.
Not in the slightest.

It's a completely different sport, for one. The Cubs and Warriors were overwhelming favorites to win their series from the outset, for two. No team has ever come back from 3-1 in the NBA Finals. It's happened several times in the World Series, for three.

It's absolutely silly to compare them.

Eh, Chicago hit a few meatballs to the moon tonight.

IMO, Kipnis had the best HR of the night going oppo.

Whatever.

Tomorrow is a new day and the Tribe is still really good.

I'd be very disappointed if Naquin is in the lineup tomorrow.

Like very uncool shit if he's in there. He is in fact a lost soul right now. His bat is gone, his approach is getting dominated by the foe, he can't make adjustments because he cannot hit the fastball. I'd take my chances with Rajai's speed effecting something, anything in a winner take all game. Put him down the order and I'm also batting Coco ahead of Lonnie. Ramirez is likely to get on base and Coco is likely to bring him in. We need to get guys on, simple as that.

The team doesn't fear Hendricks.

If they come back from a 3-1 deficit to beat us and our ace at home, so be it. It will sting, but I'll tip my hat.

Having said that, despite the short rest for Corey, I think we win tomorrow. Francona has managed his pitch count very well. This has been posted above, but if Kluber can get at least 16 outs and allow under 2 runs, bring in Miller for up to 3 innings and Allen for up to 2.

People seem to be treating the Tribe like they were some 1995-esque Juggernaut.

They're a good team, do not get me wrong, but this is a very young team that pretty much shook things the hell up in the playoffs this years.

If they lose tommorow? that should be how the story is told. The fact that they took a team that many people were crowing WS champs at the beginning of the season, in the postseason, etc to 7 games.

We only need 4 lights out innings from him. Miller and Allen are fully rested.

Kluber twice through the order then let Miller and Allen eat up the final Innings at the first sign of trouble.

I'm floored Maddon threw both Montgomery and Chapman tonight. We'll see if the extra looks pay off in fatigue or one of our guys getting a better AB in a critical spot.

If at the start of the year, you would have given me game 7 at home with Kluber, I would have taken it in a millisecond. We'll see if he can bring us home.

Much more excited about tomorrow night. Was more nervous about tonight. One way or another I'm done being stressed after Game 7 is in the books.

Come on guys we got this shit, WHAT THE FUCK WE DIDN'T COME ALL THIS WAY FOR NOTHING.

Turn the page.

Wake up. Eat a good breakfast. Stick your chest out and walk like Vince Mcmahon damn't.

Corey Kluber, the best postseason pitcher tomorrow is on our side. Sure they have Babe Ruth, Mickey Mantle, Lou Gerhig, but power pitching beats power batting. Kluber is going to throw his 94 mph fastball, his cutter, his slider, his curve, his slurve, his eephus, his eliminater, all while having his many faces of Kluber.

8 months comes down to one night. Let's get excited.

You guys keep talking about our pitching like klubor is going to magically put five runs on the board for us.

Hitting is the issue. Dare them to score more than 3.

Our formula is playing close games either up by one or down by one. That's when the team is at its best. We're not built out slug you. Later tonight will be the Indians best formula since game 4 at winning a game.

Yup. Our joy is often mixed with grief in NE Ohio. It will feel as if The Curse had never been broken - or had come back stronger than ever...

shit happens.

young team is gonna act like a young team.

I mean honestly, fuck off.

Hendricks getting an extra day of rest makes this game unwinnable...

Okay, don't watch.

@AZ_, I am beginning to wonder if you have 'roid-rage issue. All you do on this board is rail on people who aren't sufficiently optimistic, in the face of long odds. Perhaps you would be more comfortable on the Browns board? There are many more people of your ilk, there, who are really aggressive and frown upon any suggestion that everything is not on the up-and-and. Just a thought.
