2016 WORLD SERIES Game #6 -|- Indians Vs Cubs -|- November 1, 2016 @ 8:00 PM EST

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
I mean honestly, fuck off.

Hendricks getting an extra day of rest makes this game unwinnable...

Okay, don't watch.

Haha oh blow me b00bie. Didn't say unwinable, just think they're fucked.

It's over when they lose. But I just think people are overlooking how good Hendricks is. Kluber great, they have a great guy too.

Much more excited about tomorrow night. Was more nervous about tonight. One way or another I'm done being stressed after Game 7 is in the books.

Yeah, I've been a little disappointed with some of these posts reading through this thread. This team has overcome so much this year. They had a franchise record winning streak in June. They had several last at bat wins this season. They walloped the Tigers all year long. They had the injuries to Brantley, Carrasco, and Salazar yet they still beat Boston and Toronto in the playoffs. If any team deserves the benefit of the doubt, it is this group.

None of us knows what will happen tomorrow. But, I'm not about to write this group off before the game has even started. They have their best pitcher going at home with their best relievers ready to back him up. That is the best punch that they can throw at the Cubs. I'm hopeful it will be good enough tomorrow.

Exactly why I'll be overly optimistic. I'd rather enjoy the ride than shit all over game 7 of the world series. Honestly we shouldn't be here. I'll spare the reasons.

No need to turn on each other guys. Plenty of reasons to be positive. We're not savages. We are not (insert least favorite fan base here).

Exactly. Some are positive. Some are not.

There's no difference IMO in reacting with overly optimistic vs overly pessimistic.

Also think there's a difference between being negative and thinking they'll lose and saying "it's over."

Regardless, going to be hype. Win or lose I hope the energy goes from start to finish and doesn't die like it did early tonight.

Just got back from the game. Crowd was loud and ready to explode up until the fuck up in center field. Even when Tomlin gave up the first inning bomb we were still fired up. But that error, being down 3-0 before we even got to bat..........that killed the crowd big time. And then the Grand Slam just sucked the life out of us.
Its sad to see so many Cubs fans there. I'd say the crowd was 65-35 in favor of Indian fans. Overall the experience was kinda fun, but the outcome was overwhelmingly depressing.

Yup. Our joy is often mixed with grief in NE Ohio. It will feel as if The Curse had never been broken - or had come back stronger than ever...
The Cavs win an NBA championship, in historic fashion at that, and the Indians are in game 7 of the World Series. There is no curse. Even if you lose, that is one heck of a season and quite impressive in itself. This is a great year for Cleveland either way. And it's hard to look at the big picture, but Indians got a good enough team that they can compete to go the WS every year for awhile. Royals lost in 7 in 2014 even after one heck of a run. But they came back and finished the job the next year. Heck, same thing with Cavs after losing in 2015.

Of course nothing is guaranteed and you always want your team to win, but you have to be happy about the prospect that you are one of the best in the league and are competing at this level.

My advice is to try to relax a little and enjoy this run as much as possible. I know it is easier for me to say since I'm a bit more emotionally removed (although following all playoffs, I've gotten pretty into it and attached to your team). But taking a 103 win team to 7 games while missing a couple of your best players is quite an accomplishment in itself and something to be very proud of. Especially when nobody in the world gave you half a chance. Don't get me wrong, I'm not making a concession speech. But you also shouldn't concede when the series isn't over and you still sit in a good position. I still believe you will win.

I think that's kind of an element that bugs me about sports media and twitter to a certain extent.

We're in the World Series. This is a fantastic thing that it is to be around and experience. I went to two of the Watch Party's to be around it, spent the money on a World Series hat and a 15 dollar program.

But rather than just letting people enjoy this sort of thing? There HAS to be a story, and really annoying storylines to boot.

like it would be nice to just let the a series of games play out without all of the bullshit added commentary. It's really not needed.

Simple for me. I said it when people were freaking out after losing 1 game to Toronto.
If we can't win 1 out of 3, we didn't deserve it and they did.

Well they made me look like a fool again.

They are done. Cubs have the better lineup, confidence, and pitcher on full rest. Blowout tomorrow. Tip your cap. Dolans once again wondering why them. Hint: It's the Chief.

If you don't think we can win tonight, then GTFO. You probably just started watching this team 2 weeks ago anyways.

This team has fought through adversity all year to get to this point, and now we have the best pitcher in the playoffs on the mound at home in a game 7.

We are the favorites in this game, not overwhelming favorites, but favorites nonetheless. Don't try to spin it any other way.

We have 1 game for the championship. Get your heads out of your asses and Roll Damn Tribe.

Again, big difference between can and will.

This team can win 100-0, I know they have it in them lol. Just don't think they will... REGARDLESS, I am hyped as fuck.

Kipnis hitting yesterday was good to see. They're due for some good home cooking runs and most of all some timely hitting.

Also... I just don't see, win or lose, how Nap goes all World Series without a homer.

Good, I'm glad you're hyped. I'm hyped as well. I'm very aware that we could lose. However, we are favored, and I see no reason to spread anything but positive energy heading into tonight. It's the World Series, this isn't supposed to be easy.
