Sarah Palin May Not Be The Mother of the 5th Child???

At a press avail in Monroe, Mich., Barack Obama on Palin: "Back off these kinds of stories."

"I have said before, and I will repeat again: People's families are off-limits," Obama said. "And people's children are especially off-limits. This shouldn't be part of our politics. It has no relevance to Gov. Palin's performance as a governor or her potential performance as a vice president. So I would strongly urge people to back off these kinds of stories. You know my mother had me when she was 18, and how a family deals with issues and teenage children, that shouldn’t be a topic of our politics."

On charges that his campaign has stoked the story via liberal blogs:

"I am offended by that statement. There is no evidence at all that any of this involved us," he said. "Our people were not involved in any way in this, and they will not be. And if I thought there was somebody in my campaign who was involved in something like that, they would be fired."

RonG, for someone who was so strongly (or weakly when you consider none of your psts had anything factual supporting them) opinonated in opposition of obama and his readiness to lead, you are eerily not very active right now as all these scandals with Pailin are coming out. Choose to leave babygate alone if you will, but you arent defending your boy Mac in the Obama thread either. Everything that is coming out sheds light on McCains motives for the decisions he has and is making in regard to this campaign. Defend that

Either way this is bad pub. for McCain's running mate, no she didn't knock off a 7/11 or something like that, but her daughter is a slut and all this whos the baby etc is just making them look bad.

Downplay as much as you want, but face it, this is a negative in the Repub camp, it won't change the outcome of the election, but start accepting it for what it is.

Not only are you not defending it, but your post count on this matter has went from non stop every page of the obama thread, to absolutely none after these scandals are coming out.

You disagree with the pick, does that mean that he didnt make the right decision... but your still saying that McCain would be a better pick for Prez than Obama?

And for someone who should be able to read, you sure did ignore everything I said in both threads..

First off, it's my responsibility to be aware of WTF is going on, so when blogging or canvassing I'm not talking out of my ass and get caught off guard.

Second, as I said in numerous posts, I give Sarah Palin the benefit of the doubt. Sure it is her baby, but what does it say about her competence if she would travel 22-hours after her water broke to shit-burg Alaska, instead of just checking into a hospital in Texas.

Third, this chick gets picked out of nowhere and over far more qualified women like Olympia Snowe or Kay Bailey Hutchison and I'm supposed to take that at face value?

Fourth, she praises Geraldine Ferraro? Who's next, David Duke?

Fifth, she's a current Buchananite? Pat Buchanan is a racist, anti-semitic demagogue. She was won over by him after his Culture War speech at the RNCC. This makes me question her values.

Sixth, as a pro-choice liberal, I oppose any and all politicians who would attempt to stymie a woman's right to control her own reproduction.

Seventh, her family is the perfect example of why abstinence-only eduction does not work. So let it be known that even the governor of Alaska's daughter can get knocked up, and not just disadvantaged kids in the inner-city. Let the conservatives choke on that.

And most importantly for douche-bags like Dobson and Robertson, for all the Sean Hannity's who routinely trash liberals for being God-less. How does a 16-year old daughter of a governor get porked while laying in bed at home with Mono, while her dad is on a leave of absence from work? Are we to believe that the father just let the boyfriend go upstairs and pork his daughter? C'mon.. Are these the kind of people we want in office? It's the conservatives who were worried about what kind of stain was on Monica's dress. Who's Trig's mother, and for that matter, who's Trig's father? And what's up with this new pregnancy?! Sheesh.. its hard to keep up with these people..

Sorry bro the last three days I have been pre-pairing for a hurricane and away from the computer, it happens down here on the Texas coast. Not to mention yesterday I spent with my family on the bay grilling.

As for Palin, I won't defend that pick it is not who I would have picked. As for having kids in Highschool. I have 2, one was born on my 17th birthday and one right before I graduated. So Im not gonna judge her daughter. My kids are doing well, my family is now well over 6 didgets a year in salary so I do not see how her daughter or grandchild will be effected in a negative light. Now if you want to argue the morals about her daughter having sex before she is married then you better make damn sure you waited/wait. Me personally I have three teens now, do I think they are having sex, no but I could be wrong.

To me it is just gossip honestly the only real news out of all of this is her daughter is pregnant.
If you have read my posts then you know my values just do not mix with Obama or the democrats, Im not here to change anyones vote. Just trying to keep the topics fair. I served my country so you would have the right to vote, so sorry if I come off a little crass.

Not sure if you are qualified to speak on super super jumbo mortgage or not...but I am. I have been critical of Obama in the past, so this will show I am not trying to pander to each side. A jumbo loan is a loan over 417k. A super jumbo typically starts at 1.5 mil...a super super jumbo typically stats at 4 mill. I am not sure what the loan amount was, but lets assume just super jumbo not the double super jumbo. The typical bank that finances jumbos specializes in such. The rates are higher for jumbo loans tha normal fannie mae or freddie mac loans. Now, the rules change for the super jumbos. Why? Different money source, different motivation. To get a super jumbo takes assets. Meaning, you must have atleast 1 million in reserves. Banks want customers like that for life. The typical player in a super jumbo is the depository bank. Such as Chase, Bank of America, etc. The super jumbo client is offered rates other clients will not see. Not because of political clout, but because they want to earn all of the bussiness of the client. Cd's, stock investing, Money market acount, Bonds, etc. Further, their is a prestige to having certain clients. I am sure Cindy McCain has special rates on her mortgages. Its not becuase her hubby is a senotor...its because daddy owns a very large company and she is a very wealthy woman.

Just trying to keep it straight and prove it should be about the issues, nothing else. But damn it if that vp choice by McCain is going to make it difficult to achieve this goal.

Much appreciation and respect. 3 of my Uncles also served in the Gulf War.

Each of them though are voting for anybody other than McCain last I checked on the 4th of July.

Also, I dont know if you were in the area when Katrina or Rita hit, but being where you are, do you feel that all the hoopla that has been given to Gustav has been warranted depending on what you are experiencing right now? I have a cousin playing basketball in West Texas, and he says that he has friends all over that area and this just seems like a heavy storm or the worst rain that Ohioans might see.

Thank god it came in weak this morning, and Id rather be safe than sorry as well in regard to the evacuations and what not, but as of right now it seems overhyped and just a convenience for the MSM and RNC.

This Palin pick keeps pushing me further and further from McCain. This was a bad move if he was trying to lure in Independent voters like me.

I worked in the mortgage while I lived in Ohio, my mom is the VP of ecommerce for a chain of banks down here in Texas. I do understand how the system works, so well I left. That industry is more corrupt than the car business.
