LeBron James

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
I would say the chances of Lebron staying are slightly above 50% with the Lakers still being the main competition to land him. An interesting discussion about Anthony Davis to the Lakers if the Pelicans make him available:

Lakers couldn't come close to putting the best package together for Davis

BOS is loaded to make a run at him'

Cavs could offer combo from Nets pick, Love, Clarkson, Nance, Cedi, other future 1sts

MIN could offer Wiggins and KAT straight up

What's the Lakers best offer? Lonzo, Kuzma, and Ingram?

"Sure, bro, but they're the Lakers..."

^ESPN logic.

LeBron has the best body and mind of all players in the modern game. Truly 1 in 7 billion.

I really hope the cavaliers upset the warriors (or houston?) this year. First of all because this team is very likeable and the cavs beating the warriors is the best thing ever. When the cavs won the chip i went absolutely nuts. I still remember it like yesterday, where I was who i was with etc. I was of course watching it in the middle of the night (europe). But also because i really want lebron to have another championship. To shut up the haters and help his case for GOAT, because al lot of people hold the lack of championships against him. Which IMO is just horse shit. In theory championships don't matter at all. Who is the best player? Being the best player ever does not guarantee you will win the chip. Its takes an entire organisation to win a chip. They greatest players of all time have a lot of influence on achieving that but they can never do it alone. Michael jordan on the cavs team that beat the GSW would not win it. I just think he deserves it just to shut some haters up.

What made LeBron suddenly open to playing PF in the regular season again?

He always refused to in prior years with us, and even the first 50 games this year when we’d stubbornly start Crowder there.

Sure, if you believe ESPN logic. Trash. Pure trash.

AD isn't going anywhere.

Doesn't New Orleans have him for 3-4 more years? Why would ANYONE trade him when you have that sort of contractual leverage?

the ESPIN/LA agenda is out of control. Besides, if anyone will trade for him, its going to be Boston.

I think the chances of him staying went up from 50% to like 80-90% on trade deadline day. That's how big I think those trades are. I think he wants to stay, he just needs a roster that was competitive and that he could feel some kind of excitement about

also, maybe this is for another thread, but I don't understand why anyone thinks NO would ever ever ever trade Anthony Davis before the last year of his contract (and then only if he asked to leave). He is a 24 year old two way superstar locked up for three more years at a fair price. That is the rarest best thing in the NBA. He's what makes them an exciting team.

One of my favorite aspects from the game last night was the fact that LeBron faded later in the game scoring the ball... he was on fire for a while but then went ice cold. And the team around him persevered and made sure his earlier efforts weren't for naught. It's not as if LeBron alone dragged the team to a win.

He has a fucking squad indeed.

Yes, I think we will improve if Lebron gets a sense for when he is cooling off and shares the burden at those times rather than going ISO and trying to force it. He doesn't have to drag this team on his back, he can back off and facilitate even late in the game if he's not feeling it.

I think Love being out and getting the new guys acclimatized. We are just Low on big men right now. What do we do when Love comes back and it is obvious that Lebron and Love should be playing pf and C? Slightly worried that Lebron won't accept that.

You didn't know? Paul George is on his way next year.

Except for the fact that Crowder guarded fours when the other team didn't have an elite perimeter scorer (which makes sense to save wear and tear on LeBron), how was LeBron the three and Crowder the four? Crowder basically only spotted up and cut to the hoop. LeBron posted up more, had way more paint touches, and served more often as the roamer protecting the rim (though his effort on that end was flagrantly inconsistent). Lebron has basically played four all year except for the stretch when the Cavs had Love and Thompson starting. He's also played a ton of minutes at the four in each of the Cavs last two playoff runs.

He likes Cedi that much and he knows it's only for a few weeks

Well, if they trade him now, he's much more valuable because he's got years left on his deal. If they wait until he's an expiring, then he has leverage and can push his way toward certain teams by threatening not to re-sign with others, which lowers his value because there are less bidders.
