2018-19 Season Game #3 | Cleveland Cavaliers vs. Atlanta Hawks | October 21st, 2018 @ 6:00 PM

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Team is going to win 15-17 games max. Most of the players suck and aren't long-term pieces, the rotations suck, the defense sucks, and most importantly, our head coach is the worst in basketball.

Bring on Zion.

Bad day all around. Lue needs to go before this team totally falls apart. They said they were in the "player development" business. They need to file bankruptcy and close the doors. They are not developing anything except bad habits and a losers' mentality. We are in trouble folks!

Ok. Now we’re getting blown out at home, by a lottery team, and we’re giving up 125+ points again.

So, it’s not the competition we’ve faced, or the fact that we’ve started the season on the road.

Can we be pretty confident that both the talent and the coaching on this team are lacking?

What’s to be done? Anything? I just don’t want to lose 73 games.

There has always been an excuse in play for Sexton. When he forced stuff in college it was because his teammates sucked. When he forces stuff now it’s because he won’t see the ball again.

He was pretty effective and successful at forcing things in college because he actually was allowed to have the damn ball.

If you want to ignore the importance of rhythm especially for young guards, that's on you. It's game 3 and his coach is basically committing coaching malpractice. He plays most of his minutes as an off-ball 2 guard with ballhogs of the highest order. If he continues to play this role, I am confident he will continue to fail. He needs the ball or he will never reach even close to his full potential. That shouldn't even be a controversial opinion, to be honest. It's just a fact. He's not a great player off the ball and doesn't have the skill-set to be effective in that role right now.

He has totally lost his outside shot: 1-7 on threes tonight. 30% shooting every game. His form is stiff, no flow to it. So many of his open looks came from James finding him in the right spot in rhythm. Now that he doesn't have a James (or Rubio, like in Minnesota) getting him the ball, his stroke looks terrible.

I bet the shoulder injuries have ruined his shot.

He was decent in the finals but this shooting slump could be extended back to the start of the playoffs last season, was struggling even with LBJ feeding him. Yes he was carrying injuries at that point but this has been a horrible start for him in a leadership role.

AGAINST THE HAWKS
It's not like this Cavs team got some world beaters. This roster is not good.

And people wanna make the playoffs? Cavs lack talent all around. Only keeper for me is Cedi.

Cavs gotta have the worst defense of all time. Historically bad.

I really hope someone is desperate enough to give the Cavs an unprotected pick. We need some talent.

We sad and bad. KLove worst contract in the NBA now since Deng and Noah got cut. Sad times.

Now that, ladies and gentlemen, was a bad loss.

In fact I'm struggling to remember a worse loss in all my years as Cavs fan, in terms of level of play, difficulty of opponent and homecourt vs on the road. What an incredible stinker that was.

One for the history books.

Really? You’ve watched the 1st 3 very inefficient games right? This should be par for the course for the season. He’s not capable of playing like he did before he came to Cleveland. He’s beat up and older and doesn’t have LeBron to hold the attention of the defense. It was a dumb contract in my book. We won’t contend for shit anytime soon anyway so I guess it doesn’t matter.
I'm not even mad bruh, Love stinks out of the shoot but collecting stats. He stayed for the money. Gilbert wanted to be loyal to the guy and pay him what any other team wouldn't.

It's going to be a long time before Cavs basketball is back. I despise the Warriors everyday for ruining us.

I don’t know what to do about Lue?

Do we let him drive the tank, or find someone who knows how to coach basketball?

It hurts my heart to watch these guys play such bad basketball and learn such bad habits.

Lue is definitely the worst coach I've ever seen.
Most of the time it feels like he's not even watching the game. It's obvious we don't prepare for our rivals and don't play to their weaknesses. We don't even play to our strengths. What we did in training camp is anybody's guess. Played HORSE? Dunk contests? Who knows. We sure as shit didn't work on taking advantage of the roster we have or developing a viable defensive scheme.
