Game Thread | Game #9 | Cavs @ Lakers | Nov. 6, 2022

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
This is satisfying..I was hoping they won't play like the Lakers were some all star team like they did last year..they looked like that in the first quarter.
Shut Lebron and Westside down off.

Yeah, the problem last season was we could play this defense but couldn't put up the points to make it consistently devastating. We can now.
I actually think our defense has gotten better.

Mitchell isn’t full throttle all game, but he’s been good in clutch minutes. He’s also a good defensive rebounding guard and is a good stocks guy. Exactly what you want with bigs backing you up.

But yes, when you know you will get 50 out of your starting back court every night, all you need is our usual defense and one more guy to be hot.

I’m not really one to criticize JBB, oar but if I’m a deeper bench guy i would not be happy with the coach not able to get any minutes when the Cavs are leading by double digits the last 6 minutes of the game

This team would be lucky to have 3 wins if we didn’t have Mitchell

Didn't see the game but the box score says the Cavs hit 32 free throws (in 36 attempts) to 12 for the Lakers, which is +20 - pretty remarkable. It sounds like the Lakers were either too small or too slow to stop the Cavs from scoring without fouling them. Mitchell, Garland, and Allen were 25-for-26 from the line. Really impressive.

If you told me the Cavs would go 8-for-32 from deep and win by 14 I would have said you're nuts.

Love the game! We won the 2nd half by 20 points. We held them to 36 points in the 2nd half. The guards carried us in the first half and our bigs and LeVert in the the 2nd half.

We evened up the paint points and the fastbreak points. They committed a lot of turnovers, and that was the difference.

Who'll be the junkyard dog? Mitchell or LeVert, I'd guess.

I may take some heat for this comment …but, I wouldn’t take LBJ back on a vet’s minimum and for a late 2nd rounder. I wouldn’t want his passive-aggressive shit poisoning our team chemistry
He does look totally cooked, but he's notorious for "saving himself" the first part of the season.

The Lakers have nothing - NOTHING - beyond Lebron, AD, and Westbrook (when Westbrook has a good game, which is about once every 5 games).
