Game Thread | Game #9 | Cavs @ Lakers | Nov. 6, 2022

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
The refs were on some bullshit.
Cavs clawed their way back into it, then blew the Lakers apart so bad, all they had left was LeBron bully ball.
Ham hit the ragequit button with 6 minutes left.

Great 2nd half rebound from Dean Wade, Kevin Love, Mobley, LeVert, and Allen.
No quit.

Amazing how Donovan and Darius can lift this team from complete shit. The rest follows.
What? If anything we got a very favorable whistle in that game lmao. Complaining about the refs loses all meaning when you whine about a game we got 36 FTA.

Do we get to take the best player off of each of our opponents for all 9 games too?
And then get to take out their second best player for 6 games?

What a weird statement.

Okay, let's look at our gaudy individual stats:

Starters:
LeVert 12-4-3 with a steal in 29 minutes
Mobley 5-7-3 with 2 steals and a block in 30 minutes. He made a difference defensively. Davis and Lebron each outweigh him by 30 pounds.
Allen 16-11-0 with 2 steals and 2 blocks in 27 minutes. Maybe he'll get JYD?
Mitchell 33-5-2 in with a block and steal 37 minutes He kept us in the game. JYD
Garland 24-4-7 in 39 minutes. A real 80s type game with 80s type minutes.

Bench 26-17-4 in 25 minutes Good effort in short minutes
Love 10-10-1 with a block on Lebron in 20 minutes
Osman 9-1-1 in 19 minutes
Wade 4-6-1 with a steal and a block in 25 minutes and good defense on Lebron. He keeps in front of him and blocked him out for rebounds.
Okoro 0-0-0 in 6 minutes
Lopez 3-0-1 in 6 minutes

The Lakers got 64 points in the first half and 36 in the second. Reminds me of the first Boston game where they scored 75 in the first half and 39 in the second.

I don't know whether to be critical that they come out playing bad D and then pull it together or thrilled that they have the ability to shut teams down in the second half when they put their mind to it.

the one Osman assist was one of the BEST plays of the game. Wade's defensive play tonight was outstanding. A little bit of Lopez seemed to make the Allen screens better.

The Cavs have played 1 game without Mitchell and we won by 20 so it is a very very weird statement.
It’s a game thread so we get weird statements from the usual suspects.

The 8-1 start has clearly upset some people who are struggling to find things to bitch about. It’s going to be a very disappointing season for jackals who feast on the carcasses of defeat.

Was laughing my ass off at Westbrick who thought he could beat Mobley 1:1 (“Wrong Guy” as Allen put it) or drive the the rim against our interior defense.

Wade has really grown as a defensive player.

Not a good idea to trail the Cavaliers after 3. That 4Q D is brutal to score on.
