Seemed like the CAVS got up late and maybe just got to the arena prior to the tip. They obviously werent ready to start the game other than Mitchell. I was a little worried about Garland in second half. No points. Was he walking with a little limp?
 
Great interview with Donovan; nice to see DG‘s parents at the game !
 
The refs were on some bullshit.
Cavs clawed their way back into it, then blew the Lakers apart so bad, all they had left was LeBron bully ball.
Ham hit the ragequit button with 6 minutes left.

Great 2nd half rebound from Dean Wade, Kevin Love, Mobley, LeVert, and Allen.
No quit.

Amazing how Donovan and Darius can lift this team from complete shit. The rest follows.

Plenty of time for the starters to get tons of minutes together. I don’t agree that late 4th quarter on the first half of a b2b when you’re up by 14 points is the time to do it.

Mitchell isn’t full throttle all game, but he’s been good in clutch minutes. He’s also a good defensive rebounding guard and is a good stocks guy. Exactly what you want with bigs backing you up.

But yes, when you know you will get 50 out of your starting back court every night, all you need is our usual defense and one more guy to be hot.

Our defense is definitely better, and the biggest reason might be (ironically) because Okoro’s minutes have been cut. Mitchell being a better rebounder thanLeVert also helps.

Looks like when we played video games nba and woul trade for stars long enough to have most of the bench guys be rated 55 or so.
 
If I were Lakers I would work backwards. I would trade James and Davis and keep Westbrick.

It seems like they were using it to try some stuff out, thus the sloppiness. I think since DG hasnt played with the starters much it makes SOME sense.
 
The refs have a habit of not letting us defend in the first half and giving us a ton of bullshit foul trouble. Then in the 2nd half they let us play and we just smother teams. Mobley and Allen basically didnt even get a first half to play. Then in the 2nd half dominated defensively. Garland and Mitchell kept us in it early and then Mitch and a couple cavalanche guys took us home late.

The Cavs have played 1 game without Mitchell and we won by 20 so it is a very very weird statement.
