Mitchell had a mediocre game at best. It's telling that the Sixers assigned McDaniels to Garland instead of Mitchell at the end of the game.

Both announcers said he was calling for the trap. Just after the foul JBB made the bird cage with his hands again, the players obviously misunderstood.
 
Next game: Cavs have them.

Disappointing result, but it is what it is.

Very good play overall going into the All Star Break. Time to rest up, regroup, challenge Denver outta the Break, and put together the best basketball of the year as the sound of playoffs rings louder and louder.

The call will be answered and Cleveland won't go quietly into the night.
 
Didn’t get to watch. Just looking at box score. Damn that’s a lot minutes for DG, DM &. JA. Surprised Green got that many minutes - how did he look? Also surprised Wade got so few, looks like he was pretty productive in just of few minutes and was 1 of our 2 guys on the + side. LeVert with a great +/-.
 
Garland, Mitchell, LaVert, Green/Okoro/Wade, Allen/Mobley is the way to go vs that team.

Spacing, and trade Embiid 2’s for Cavs 3’s. Win the the Embiid bench minutes. The small lineup was effective at doubling and then recovering

Unless green gains lateral quickness overnight, Wade should get all his mins. Green moved how I move in dreams during a fight. Slo-mo.
 
Frustrated because we really, really should have traded LeVert for a shooter.

Would we be in more trouble of Mitchell or garland were hurt? Yea.


Would our closing five be far more dangerous offensively if that fifth guy was a sniper? Yea.

But it's just not working for LeVert here. It didn't work last year and it hasn't been working this year.
 
For all the shit Mobley caught, he honestly played really well in that 2nd half. Every miss gets magnified because we don't have people who can reliably hit an open 3 coming off the bench. If we had better floor spacing then he probably isn't shooting 4 3s tonight.

ALlen did a fairly decent job defending Embiid tbh.

Harden dominated the game up and until the Cavs made the run late.
 
LeVert, Okoro, neither are working. Garland taking the final step, Mobley taking a step with team Gilbert overhauling the bench. Title window opens next season or its a failure
 
Weird time to dump on LeVert when he played fine and led the team in +/- by a mile at +14. Yes, the few boneheaded plays he makes every game are super frustrating, but he really doesn't deserve half the shit he receives on this board.

I don't care what anyone says, Mobley was not good tonight, despite a not-awful looking stat line. He was brutal in the first half and got spoonfed a bunch of bunnies in the 2nd

He was 2-3 in 27 minutes.

Is that why Caris LeVert is here? He's being asked to do almost nothing offensively at this point. Last game 0-4. Game before 2-4.

He's turning into some kind of energy/hustle player when we need someone to come in off the bench and make some damn shots.


I think he's been solid, but he's just not what the Cavs need at all going forward and we missed the chance to turn him into something else.

Spot on. Mobley was awful except when they fed him the ball right at the rim for dunks. He did have one nice jump hook over Embiid that turned into a 3-point play. Otherwise he mostly looked like the tallest JV player forced into a varsity game due to injury.
