Tristan Thompson

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
yeah, like any of us believe that Tristan is the only one taking, it is definitely BS. I mean, I guess it could be worse, they could just get mad and take out basically any star player in the league (other than Jokic probably, ha).

Dont know why the NBA is picking on TT? Did the Kardashian snitch on him? Of all the players they check, its freaking TT the bench energy? I think this is a huge loss. Hopefully he's allowed on the bench.

If only he was Draymond it would be an indefinite 6 game suspension.

Thats a joke, I know its a rule.

Just not going to defend the guy. He took them, he got caught. He played this year like he found the fountain of youth, so no one is surprised. The league isnt coming down extra hard on Tristan, they are just following the rules. Such is life, if not for the PEDS though, he probably doesnt beat out Damian Jones, so for that, I am grateful.

Oh yeah. I'm not mad. Disappointed, because we don't exactly have the cap space to find much of a replacement, especially with a CPJ extension on the horizon.

This, and all of the crazy improvements of teams around the similarly tiered teams in the east, might necessitate a trade for frontcourt depth.

25 game suspension for that? Come on now. A bit excessive no?
Not really. It's CBA agreed upon number of games by the league and the players' association, it's not an arbitrary amount decided willy nilly.

The fact is, no NBA player should ever fail a drug test, because the league goes out of their way to make it easy to pass.

The league tells you exactly which drugs they're testing for, and unlike other leagues, they tell you in advance when they're going to do a test. That's why nobody ever gets busted for PEDs even though Tristan is far from the only NBA player taking them.

If a player fails a test in light of those things, it's stupidity more than anything.

Tristan? Nah…say it isn’t so. :chuckle:

Plus, if this were an international sport like track and field, weight lifting, swimming, etc, which are all governed by the World Anti-Doping Code, the penalty for what Thompson took would be a 4 year ban (assuming it was intentional), subject to reduction depending upon the athlete's defense. It would be a 2 year ban if it was deemed unintentional. The NBA CBA (plus the CBAs of all pro sports in the US) makes it much more lenient on the players.

Now I REALLY want to see LeVert moved for a bench big.

He was getting 15-20 mins a night, and when Mobley returns, should be back to DNP-CD, i like TT, he was very useful, but LeVert to just bring in a backup big? No....But if its a good player that would make the rotation with or without TT, then yes.
