Well they're building a state of the art Cavs/Cleveland Clinic facility right on the water in The Flats.

I don't know. I'm not a real estate or planning expert but part of me thinks that the reason why the city hasn't invested so much on the lakefront is because they knew that the current stadium always had the potential to be rebuilt or moved and with that uncertainty, it would not have been advantageous to develop around a sitting duck. Whatever the city could've envisioned on the lakefront can still happen. It's just that now we'll know the status of the main draw which is/was the stadium.

All kidding aside, take a look at the size of Woodland Cemetery on Woodland Ave. And East 66th. It would be perfect for a dome complex with parking and attached condos. All you have to do is find some descendants of the deceased and talk them into cremation or relocation. Come on... who is visiting great great grandma Esther who died in 1867?

ok I am not the only crazy guy looking at google map and seeing where I can put a dome stadium.

Erie Street Cementary. Move some graves and tear down the strip mall right by it and its a perfect location right by Progressive. U can put it on the east side and go north south or right in middle and east west. The strip mall has a church in it. I mean who puts a church in a strip mall.

They had a land option over by Tri c in the 90s. Not sure what happened to that.
 
Isn't their a literal President buried in that cemetery?

*It was a Sunday. Also kinda crazy that half of the presidents ever killed in office were from Ohio and it’s the two nobody ever talks about.
 
Garfield could have been a great President.

All those post-Civil War period presidents look the same and are a blur, but Garfield had the most promise.

He was a smooth operator and got on well with Congress.

His first project was to root out entrenched corruption in the Civil Service.

He also took aim at crooks at Congress and advanced civil rights.

A true war hero too, saved the Army of the Cumberland at Chickamauga and Chattanooga.

He would have been the best of that lot but for his doctor's dirty fucking fingers.
