So when does this game start to pick up? I've only played it sporadically over the past week or two and it's dragging really bad. Why the hell do I have to herd cattle? I'm starting to get into some action-packed mssions (Bonnie being captured), but it's just boring the hell out of me. Just wondering if I'm in for more shooting-based missions or "duels at high noon" shit, or if I'm just wasting my time riding around on a horse shooting birds...

It gets good really quick.once you're done with the Bonnie missions there no more dumb shit like herding cattle,it just helps you get adjusted to the game.

The last few missions before you head to Mexico are great, and almost every mission in Mexico is fun. Remember to pick up the fast horses and also to travel always always by setting up camp > travel to waypoint

Got the game yesterday... can be great at times and at others I just want to get to the next thing whatever it is. Still awesome though.
How many hours of play did it take you to get to Mexico? I've played 12 hours (yes, since Thursday, not Friday) and don't feel like I'm close yet. I just finished the Funny Man mission (and accidentally shot him while exiting the mine, oops).

I think I got into Mexico at around 14 hours of gameplay.
I think Mexico has 20~ missions before you get to Tall Trees/Great Plains/Blackwater. (Game really gets crazier there)
Mexico was fun as hell though.
