Has anyone here actually met/interacted with Lebron?

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
None of these guys tip... A really close friend of mine use to do a lot of their after parties at places like The View a few years back and these guys would never tip the bar tenders... What can you expect athletes live in a different world...

A lot of my friends who bar tend in the LES in NYC claim hockey, baseball and rock stars are the best tippers...

Don't hear too many positive things about football and basketball players...

My friends friend worked at a Bar/Restaurant in Cleveland. And she was their waiter . Him and his Posse came in, spent about 10k. Didnt tip a dime.

But then again, the restaurant did get 10k, and the news that LeBron " Eats here"

I've never had a conversation with the dude and the closest I was to him physically is when I attended the Obama rally at Willard Park when he lied to me and about a hundred others when he said "he ain't going nowhere." It's common knowledge at this point that he absolutely refused to fairly if at all tip waiters and waitresses all over Northeast Ohio and I have friends who have first-hand knowledge of his heartless and super-cheap habits. However, the best story regarding LeBron is what a friend of mine told me over a year ago. King Shit was at the drive-thru at the Medina Dairy Queen on Route 18. While he was waiting for his blizzard or whatever the fuck he ordered, he decided to take all of the garbage in his vehicle and throw it through the pull-up window. He then proceeded to drive away but unfortunately did not choke to death on the Dilly Bar he was munching on.

Well, I can confirm for a fact that he and the gravy-train riders received a meal ON THE HOUSE at XO in Cleveland. And low and behold they didn't tip anyone a fucking penny. Ladies and gentlemen, LeBron James.

I worked at the Fairmont hotel in Chicago when visiting NBA teams used to stay there, and most NBA guys tipped at least 20%. Believe me, the ones that don't know better because the league tells them how to conduct themselves in a restaurant. Karl Malone was a prince of a man and would sit and talk with the staff during the downtime between breakfast and lunch.

Poor uneducated people don't tend to tip whether black or white. But then again Tiger Woods is a horrible tipper as is Vijay Singh, who is also a complete asshole.

Anyone who has worked in the service industry will get a kick out of this:

I ran into him at Summit Mall a couple years ago, he was waiting outside of Foot Locker while one of his friends was buying sandals inside. People were coming up to him saying great job in the playoffs (it was right after the Wizards series of 2007)- he was obviously too cool to really speak with anyone, he seemed more annoyed than anything. He just walked around as if everyone should notice he is in their presence, but if you talk to him he is going to be pissed that you are bothering him.

Vijay is awful. My sister worked at Glenmoor in Canton and said the same thing

I know Tiger stiffed the waitress at Diamond Grill in Akron and the owner told him to never come back. True story

One of his 15 mistresses?

I don't know if I would call this an "interaction" but this past season, as part of my season tickets package, I was able to sit on the Cavs bench during their warm-up and line up along tunnel leading to the Cavs locker room.....basically for "High fives" as the Cavs ran out on the floor for the first time. Most of the players made a point to reach out and slap your hand as they ran by (Jamario Moon about broke mine). Lebron as soon as he hit the tunnel, pulled his hands in close to his body so it was tough to get to him. Maybe the dude is germaphobe...who knows, but it seemed like a douche move at the time.

I usually only go to a few games a season. But I've seen this also. It was when the players were coming out to warm up. The players like J-Moon, Z (of course), Boobie all hi-ived the kids' hands.
The only players who didn't were Lebron and Shaq. They just slowly walked through the line of kids acting like they were some hot shit. Imagine if you were the 6-10 year old kids wondering why your favorite player didn't give you a hi five.

I don't know him personally but when he was in his early teens he'd play ball with us from time to time. He was a little cocky and talked some trash, but honestly when you're that age and you're dominating guys a few years older than you you kind of expect that kind of stuff. I mean, who doesn't trash talk a little out of fun at the park?

He always seemed like a pretty nice kid. I have never encountered adult LeBron though.

I used to work at footlocker in Beldan village and when he was in high school he would come in and one time we asked him to sign the backboard and he said no. After we basicaly shut the store down for him to come in. He is a dick

I have never personally met him but shortly after he was drafted, one of my best friends who worked for Coca-Cola distributing told me he as a jerk to all the guys that would stock the vending machines at or around SVSM High School. He always was trying to get free Cokes from them. I remember him telling me that it would be a matter of time before the Cavs would realize they made a mistake. He was not much of a basketball fan so like everyone else, I just shrugged it off. Well, things have come full circle and in the long run I think we are still good.

As an afterthought, I really wish Dan Gilbert would have toned down the letter because agents will tell their clients to stay away from Cleveland. Everyone outside of Cleveland does not get it and they will not understand how great the fans will be to the players. But damn it, it was an awesome letter! But not from the owner who has to convince people to come here. Grant and Scott just got a tougher job then when they were hired.

I just started seeing a girl who says she knows LeBron's interior designer. That person's description of LeBron?

Asshole.

my mom had a run in with him on st patrick's day like 4-5 years ago. she always gets a room at the renaissance to party for the parade, and she literally backed into him as she was not looking while pulling a big cooler. he was there visiting chris paul who was in town for the ncaa tournament (i think it was when they played west va)

she said he was extremely pleasant, she offered him a coke, he denied, then came back a few minutes later and said he would like one.

i know a few other people who have had run ins and they all said he was always very nice and very pleasant. none were autograph seeker types though. just kinda coincidence that they ran into him. they weren't camped out.

makes the whole thing all the more surprising.
