2009-2010 Pre-Season Game 2 VS Bobcats

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
I remember when we drafted J.J.

I was so mad.

:chuckles:

For the Bobcats:

G-Force was a man on a mission. Felton looked very solid and determined. Both are seem very serious this season.

Augustin has serious talent, but made some mental errors.

Ajinca was their PotG. He's looks to have great potential. 7 footer and VERY long arms. He had a nasty put-back dunk and a couple finishes off oops. I didn't pay attention to his D, though.

You can already see their improvement under Larry Brown. He seems to have really motivated their vets.

I don't know if keeping Hickson and Parker in the starting lineup is a bad idea.

Having a bench of:

Gibson
West
Moon
AV
Z

Sounds nice to me :D

Hell its better then half the NBA's startring lineup.

Yeah but wait until he plays against some premier guys and he doesn't have experience to draw on for guarding them, and scoring on them. Varajao knows the league well. He is good, but we need to put him in a position to be successful.

^^^ Yeah, I don't think J.J. is stout enough on the defensive end to start right yet.

Mike Brown has been defense, is defense, and always will be DEFENSE.

Actually that lineup as a starting lineup would be lucky to win 10 games in an NBA season. But as far as benches go, it's good.

JJ Just looks like a different player this year. So much faster and more explosive. Just reacting to how things happen around him with a greater amount of urgency. Also boxing out fairly well in the portion of the game I saw.

Very happy with what he's showing.

We might not start the season with that, but I think we will end up with it if JJ improves as I think he will. We would protect our lack of length having Gibby and West on the 2nd unit. West would have to be the PG/playmaker, though. I'm not sure if I like AV's defense not starting, though. JJ's going to take a couple years to get to AVs defensive prowess, if ever. With Z gettting up there in age, I don't know if that 2nd unit has enough offensive weapons. At this point, I would rather have AVs D starting and letting JJs O develop against weaker defensive backups.

JJ looked great tonight. 17pts 7 boards (according to Windy at least), them's be starter numbers. Now I know it's preseason and he was facing scrubs some of that time, but I think he may continue to surprise us.

You're like the little baby who misunderstood the Doctor. When he asked if you wanted a brain, you thought he said train and said "no thanks".

Listened to the game away from the PC, just checked back in the game thread for a little bit of fan reaction.

Just wanted to make note of the worst post of all time. On any message board. Ever.

The starting lineup needs to be the starting one from this game. Parker is better then west, and obviously more stable of the court. Hickson has proved me wrong and completely turned his game around. He is better then AV and should start. Colby played better then Gibson again, and needs to take his spot. We need to try and package gibson, jackson and Z for something productive at the trade deadline if shaq works out, and if we can do that we should be in solid shape to push for a title.

A healthy and productive JJ gives us a much better shot against the lakers and getting out of the east. Hopefully he will continue to be consistent and turn into a Millsap for us. I can't wait to see the season start when everyone is going 100%.
