Make your call peeps ...... can't sit through 162 games of baseball .. yawnfest .......

only really get into it in September .... now every pitch counts

Cards v. Doyers: Dodgers
Rocks v Phillies: Phillies

Phillies over Dodgers

Yankees over Twins/Tigers

BoSox owns the Angels

Yankees over Sox

Yankees to win it all ........ a 900 million dollar payroll gotta pay off sooner or later.

Cards win it all. They're my second favorite team so, it would be nice to see them win.

Teams to win in Bold
Twins/Tigers
Yankees/Twins
Redsox/Angels

Dodgers/Cardinals
Rockies/Phillies

Yankees/Angels
Phillies/Cardinals

Cardinals/Angels

Cardinals win World Series

I can't wait... I have my ALCS and World Series tickets locked up if my Yankees make it...My brother and I are gonna go and stay in New York throughout the ALCS..

Here's hoping that Championship #27 is coming this year..

New York, Boston, Philly, LA x2...hmmm, well it's quite clear that baseball doesn't have a problem!

American League: Whoever is playing the Yankees (sorry, PIP, my hatred runs deep)
National League: The Rockies, and if they lose, whoever makes the World Series

It's a little more fashionable to root against the Yankees than it is to root for them... Everyone hates the Yankees, but there's not a really good reason for it..

Is it because they spend money on their team ? Actually take the money they earn and invest back into their product.. As opposed to taking the money and pocketing it like a lot of owners do ?

My reason for hating the Yankees is because I'm jealous of them. I admit it. They have more money to spend than any other team as a result of the YES network revenue. Baseball allows this, so it isn't the Yankees' fault. I would do the same if I were them. So, trying to be objective about it, I'm jealous as hell. Especially when the Indians have to pay so dearly for two players being injured in Hafner and Westbrook (and poor drafting, I admit). But the margin for error for the Indians is so small, that's my point. The Yankees GM has a blank checkbook.

In addition, the Yankees are the team where everything is magnified. So if Giambi or ARod take HGH or roids, it is far bigger news than if Hafner did. Therefore, the media scrutiny is greater, and my frustration rises every time I watch ESPN.

OK, rant over. There is no parity in baseball this season.

I hate them because of there fans, and the excessive spending. Just buying players.. And when the Yankees actually bring up someone to the bigs, the fans act like he's the second coming of jesus (Joba Chamberlin, Phil Hughes, Robinson Cano, etc..)

Red Sox fans have overtaken Yankees fans. Actually, my hatred for the Yankees has died down considerably. It helps that we owned them in the ALDS and embarrassed them in the christening of their new stadium. But really I don't harbor ill will towards them anymore. It's all towards the Red Sox now.

How can you rip Cano ? 200 hits, nice power, slick fielding etc... He's fantastic..Furthermore, he never got the "top prospect" type of praise...

Joba was a little over the top, but he was a beast as a reliever (not many hit the scene like that)... Hughes has been one of the best setup men in the game too...

It's one thing to mention guys like Shane Spencer, Homer Bush, Igawa etc... But, those 3 guys you mentioned are pretty good players that have as much potential as any young player(s) in the game..

The Red Sox hype guys more.. Ellsbury comes to mind...

Yea basically. It isn't really the Yankees fault though, it is baseballs fault. But when a team gets to spend 2,3, even 4 or 5 times as much money as every other team, it is just ridiculous. It also sucks for teams to see their home grown talent leave to go to the Yankees because they offer a ridiculous amount of money. Once again, that is baseballs fault for allowing that to happen though.

Even the RedSox shook their head at the amount of money the Yanks spent this offseason. That is when you know it is getting out of hand.

My predictions: Yanks, BoSox, Cards, Phils

Cards over Yanks

The main thing I want to see: If A-Rod and C.C. continue their choke jobs in the playoffs.

The Cardinals have THE TWO dominant pitchers to win it all. That's really all you need. Plus; they have that guy named Pulhols who is clutch when it means much. I also believe CC is NOT a clutch pitcher, and we will see this once again this year. Cards have the upper hand with Managers as well.

Cards over Yankees.... in six games.

Never heard of him.

Anyone watching the MN-Detroit game? 5-5 in the 11th - hell of a game!
