2012 Draft Blacklist

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
If Tannehill is the pick at 4 I might have to take a season off. Find a hobby. Grow as a person. That kind of shit.

What does Peterson's draft position have to do with anything? If you look back at that draft he'd probably go 2 or 3, behind only Megatron and possibly Joe Thomas. If Richardson proves to be as good as he looks, he's a good value at 4.

Oh, and Richardson said to tell you this:

It is actually interesting seeing that in slow motion. The guy has so much power. You can see the explosion coming from his lower body straight through his hips. His technique (low center of gravity) looks flawless. Im not promoting the guy, cause i have no idea what will happen at 4 (if we even pick there)-but i found that slow motion fascinating.

I'm really not sure why everyone would be so upset with Weeden..

I'm not rooting for the Browns to get Weeden, but if they draft him (as long as it's outside the 1st) then I'm not sure what the problem is... He's an upgrade at the QB spot and is a talented QB... Yes age is an issue but aside from that, he's a pretty good prospect...

He's as low ceiling as low ceiling could be.

Being an upgrade to Colt McCoy is not a valid reason...He actually has to project out as a guy who could be a high level QB.

And that is a reach for Weeden.

Tannehill in the first round.
Weeden in the first round.
Justin Blackmon ahead of Claiborne or Richardson.
Osweiler before the third round.
Not making our pick in time, a la the Minnesota Vikings.

Difference is, if the Browns do this, the guy they draft blows...the guy the Vikings drafted ended up being pretty damn good (Kevin Williams) and has a shot to be in Canton when its all said and done.

:chuckles:

Cavs should sign him for his sheer flop-ability. Him and Andy could battle for offensive fouls and get 1k in their pocket from Mike Br... errr Byron Scott.

Any RB in the top 5. Sorry that is way too high for a RB. In the 70s or 80s or early 90s ok but not anymore...

Not taking a QB within the first 3 picks as that will set the team back farther than taking a QB would.

Blackmon in the top 10.
Weeden anywhere before round 4
Richardson at 4 (too high for a RB).
Kalil at 4 (again way too high for a RT)
Burfict anywhere in the draft (I may be interested if he went undrafted).

What exactly do you want us to do then? You seemed to have ruled out all the candidates at 4. You want Tannehill? Claiborne?

1. Ryan Tannehill - And this is coming from a guy who likes Tanney-hill. Just doesn't make sense for this team.
2. Justin Blankman - Anywhere after 8, sure. Just because he may be the best WR in this class doesn't mean he's worth the 4th pick.
3. Dre Kirkpatrick - Love this kid, just not sure if he's a CB or a safety. And we don't need to be drafting safeties at 22.
4. Stephen Hill - Too much of a risk. Ceiling is high, but his game tape shows 9's and nothing else.
5. Mike Adams - Failed the college idiot test. Terrible combine. Failed the pro idiot test. Pass
6. Brandon Weeden - Well shit, let's take a 29 year old QB who may or may not be the starter. Waste of a pick.
7. Any DT in the first 2 rounds. I like plenty of DT's (not Devon Still) in this draft, but you don't grab a skill of strength this early
8. Alshon Jeffry - Doesn't fit the WCO
9. Kirk Cousins - I like Cousins, but if we're not getting 1 of the top 2, wait until rounds 5-7 to get a project
10. Zebrie Sanders - First round talent, 4th round body. Too many injuries.

Guys I love:

1. Lavonte David, OLB Nebraska
2. Terrell Manning, NC State
3. Mohamed Sanu, WR Rutgers
4. Vinny Curry, DE Marshall
5. Bobby Wagner, LB Utah State
6. Trumaine Johnson, CB Montana
7. Chris Givens, WR Wake Forest
8. Brandon Boykin, CB Georgia
9. Ladarius Green, TE Louisiana-Lafayette
10. T.Y. Hilton, WR Florida International

If the FO has decided Colt isn't the guy and they can get their guy then Tannehill.

If the FO thinks Colt is a stop gap until they can get their guy then Claiborne.

No offensive player drafted other than a QB will help this team next season. Whether it is Blackmon, Richardson, Kalil at 4 we will still have the number 1 overall pick because that is how bad Colt is. Then if that is the case the entire regime will be fired due to lack of attendence, production and the fact that it took them 3 seasons to win at least 10 games (unless we go 0-16 which is possible).

Ill just come right out and say it.

It's just ignorant to believe an elite running back doesn't do anything for an offense.

Im no fan of Colt long term, but he was vastly improved over his 2011 campaign when this team had a efficient running game.

Not really when the RB is going to face 9 men fronts all game long and doesn't have running lanes because no one fears the passing attack. At this point we would be lucky to have a RB hit 800 - 900 yards unless we hand the ball off over 40 times a game. However because of the pass first nature of the offense we won't be good (ie better than 6-10) until the QB position is addressed.

Not only that if you don't address the QB position this year and the attendance keeps going down because the team keeps loosing then the current regime won't be making the pick next year and we would be in yet another rebuild.

1st round QBs buys a regime time.

Not only that I think Doug Martin will have just as good of a career as Trent Richardson.

Shitty first round QBs make sure regimes never work as regimes again.

They're not taking Tannehill, nor should they...time to put that fantasy to bed. You were wrong.

I do enjoy your strawman argument using arbitrary numbers of "what a running back could reach with Colt McCoy".

Didn't Hillis have like 1100 in 2010?

McCoy will improve with a good running game, just as he looked better with an efficient running game in 2010.

Tannehill isnt even in the top 20 players and you're advocating him 4th? Doug Martin as good as Trent? 4.20 was last week.
