I can beat this drum to death, but it isn't just that they play together, it's that they play together in an offensive system that routinely falls into a pattern of "grind it out" ball. I love Thad, but the thorn in his side is his reluctance to let kids just go out and push the shit out of the basketball and let them play loose and fast.

Ohio State is playing so undersized this year, their biggest advantage should be creating turnovers and fast break points. Their defense has been good, but where are the fast break points? Again, if I'm Matta, I green light the hell out of this team. You get a stop, fast break. They score a hoop, get it in quick, fast break. Fast fucking break...

Team plays too uptight...it isn't much fun too watch and the kids don't seem to be enjoying it either. Just unleash em' Thaddeus.

I was screaming to run last year. Team is filled with more athletes than skilled hoopers. Last year we had an X factor in Deshaun Thomas. This year we have LaQuinton Ross, He's a puppy dog compared to DT.

Yeah...getting into half-court sets with Aaron Craft (bad shooter), Shannon Scott (bad shooter), Lenzelle Smith (mediocre shooter), LaQuinton Ross (streaky shooter), & Amir Williams (non-shooter, only finisher) is just bad strategy. Yet, every game it's the same thing. They push the tempo but they don't do anything with it. They create secondary fast break opportunities but nobody is aggressive enough to take the first look.

That is all coaching, IMO. These guys have it ingrained not to take bad shots early in the clock, value a possession, and grind teams down for wins. Which is all well and fine, but this team isn't built for that. At all. Again, Thad should huddle these guys, like yesterday, and tell them the hell with anything we've spoken about before in regards to offense. Play your ass off on defense, gets stops, and be aggressive as possible in the open court.

Schedule opens up for OSU. Next game is @ Iowa. Every other game after that is either at home or against a non tourney team. 6-3 in that stretch and they are looking at a 7 seed, depending on the BT Tourney

Given how they play offense, they could just as easily go 3-6.
