Wondering if the other scrubs weren't moving to get open because they knew he was making the team and they weren't. That would be one hell of a parting F you.

Well, Williams was taking a lot of shots and working outside the offense. I didn't get the sense the other guys weren't trying. Just seems they are not that good or that consistent. I don't think they're collectively going to give up the opportunity to play in Canton (or pursue other opportunities) by throwing in the towel.

Your point about whether they are all getting drained in practice is a good one.

Yeah Beal looks impressive. As for Wall...most overhyped #1 pick for as long as I can remember.

Beal is just too smooth. Beal does not force things the way Dion does. His shot is beautiful. Could have been a perfect marriage with Kyrie. It could have been. (

So... I wanted to come back to this game thread with some super good first person analysis like everyone does. Turns out I got very drunk at the game. By the time I said... "hey lets pay attention" the game was pretty much over.

Tristan Does Work, Cavs Fall to Wizards

Hey all! Work conflicts caused me to miss the first half, but here are some musings and a bit of analysis from the 2nd half/general Cavs talk. Hope you enjoy.

Im late just now getting to watch this game but...

I really love that set play in the half court where the ball handler passes to the man on the left wing and then runs through a series of screens and ends up with an open shot in the corner.

I've seen that run almost in each quarter of the preseason and it always results in a open jumper in the corner for the ballhandler or an open lane to the rim for one of the two other guys involved on that side of the floor.

Kyrie got a 3 early from that play and then JT got one right before the end of the 1st quarter on a busted/rushed variation of it. Kyrie has been getting open corner threes from that play every game.

I keep watching to see what the different variations of the play are, as the defense reacts to it differently and I've seen TT do his little flip/floater when his man anticipated the pass going to the corner and I watched Sims fake that corner pass and hit a few jumpers.

Its almost like a Flex/Triangle kinda set. Love it.
