2014-2015 National Champs

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Yeah....I don't see it. Call me when he's ever even the second string quarterback on an NFL team. He can always get better, I suppose, but what he is the last time I saw him play? I doubt it very much so.

You mean the bowl game where he battled through a serious injury to his throwing shoulder?

Whether he ever elevates to meet his draft position is another debate, but some team is going to take a chance on that arm strength and other-worldly athletic ability at the QB position.

Pryor started at QB in the NFL and Braxton is better than him at pretty much everything.

Two of their three losses have been to Top 6 teams in the playoff. They hung tight with one of them (Ohio State) & lost 30-7 (a respectable score) to the other (TCU).

Their wins are against E. Illinois (5-6), Middle Tennssee (5-5), San Jose State (3-7), Michigan (5-5), Northwestern (4-6), Purdue (3-7), and Iowa (7-3). Seven wins, one against a team over .500.

The losses against OSU and TCU aren't bad, but the one against 4-6 Illinois is. We'll see what they do the next two weeks against Nebraska and Wisconsin, but to this point I think they're an average team, not one of the 25 best in the country.

We will find out more about Minnesota the last two weeks of the season. They have to play both Nebraska and Wisconsin so their schedule was really back-loaded. I tend to agree that they are more average and not a legit top 25 team as well.

Hopefully Wisconsin beats them by ~10points. A good showing for Minnesota and keeps the B1G championship game against them higher ranked.

No, I didn't watch the bowl game for obvious reasons. I was in Indianapolis though for the B1G Championship.

He's not a good passer.

I'm not arguing with you that someone will take a flyer on him in the 6th or 7th round if he chooses to come out. Being drafted at the back end of the draft is not the same thing as being an NFL starter. If by "He will be an NFL quarterback" you merely mean he'll get drafted, then, okay, sure. I agree he would be.

63% completion and an 8.2 YPA is right on par with the top 25 passers in CFB.

Couple that with insane athleticism.

Yeah, that's getting a shot at the next level.

Right, see my edit:

Since when are you one to just look at stats though? :chuckle: You know as well as I do Miller needs a ton of work to even have a chance of sticking at the next level.

Which is better than returning to OSU in order to make a position switch, which was the question.

Any team that takes him knows they're taking a 2-3 year red-shirt to polish him up as a passer.

I'm merely saying some team will do that.

Well, A Squared's question asked if he even had a shot. Which may have been hyperbole to say he doesn't have any shot at all. But I'd probably bet every dime I have that he will not stick at the next level.

Regardless, he's a good guy and I appreciate what he's done for Ohio State. And I wish him the absolute best. I'd love to see him play next year but if Barrett finishes strong it's hard to say I'd rather see Miller with his gimp ass shoulder start the season. Sad but true.

EDIT: No idea if this dude is legit or not. Says his source knew about his prior shit in advance. Just saw it so thought I would shoot it over here in case anyone has heard anything.

Holy shit, I forgot about Spence...if he comes back and knocks off the rust vs Indiana and Michigan, he could be huge in the Big Championship game and potential playoff game.

The only thing I am worried about is that if Spence was coming back THIS WEEK, against Indiana, we would of heard something by now, right??

Unless they mean "last 3 games" as in UM, B1G Championship and whatever game we get placed into.
